That's the good to know. lol Gluten free beer then next time? It was hard cider tonight (naturally gluten free). Too low of an ABV, however. Interesting! You make it out of apple? You make your own raw vinegar too? |

I always second guess the root cause when I see this exploding new market for gluten-free foods & what's left of my GLP brain thinks "problem-reaction-solution". |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 66885160 United Kingdom 01/11/2015 01:14 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | A book someone shared here and an ancient grain shed some light on gluten and how this plant seemingly tries to protect itself from high nitrate soil and creates gluten in the process of trying to protect itself. It makes one wonder if our agriculture or manipulation of plants has potentially created glutens as a byproduct somehow. Quoting: toremain anonymouslove Also discussed in this book is how gluten coats the intestines and interferes with absorbtion as well as interfering with valves necessary for proper biological function. It is my understanding gluten is sticky like glue and perhaps this glue like substance is making us sick beyond those already intolerant to it. Many report health and physique benefits by dropping grains which in most cases contain gluten. Glutinous foods would seem to be more mucus forming as well. This glutinous sticky food probably also slows intestinal evacuation which would cause constipation of the colon and the corresponding areas lymphatic system potentially. Anyone have anything to share on the subject? you gluten intolerant fuckers are the weakest link, 150 years you bastards would've died and the fittest would've survived now we got to keep you weak gluten intolerant fuckers alive and fuck our gen pool with your next babies. piss off and die out already, if your gluten intolerant, YOU CAN NOT HAVE A CHILDREN |

Quoting: Fret Wiz I don't seem to have any issues with grains, so I'm not too educated about the topic, but curious... I always second guess the root cause when I see this exploding new market for gluten-free foods & what's left of my GLP brain thinks "problem-reaction-solution". By the sounds of it from that book it was back in the early 1900s at least when they had wheat come to the forefront. The conspiracy by the author of the book said it was a eugenics? program back in 1918 or something like that. They outlawed the good grain and made the not so good according to the author. Apparently these grains we eat now can cause us to be fearful according to this author. This is seen with mono diets and probably large percentage eaten as well. Example - bananas you go bananas, nuts you go nuts, etc. So whats the big promotion now over the years to eat instead of other forms of meat (beef and pork - not heart health, fish/seafood - mercury/radiation/and Gid knows what else) - you guessed it - chicken - which is now loaded too with so many toxins not to mention the estrogenic effects of these compounds. I'm not saying there is a conspiracy but it cannot be good eating all that chicken. Of course having a beef with someone isn't exactly stellar either. |

I was thinking more along the GMO/pesticide/rGBH lines, these have been creeping in since the late 80's. I like the thought about the soil, too. Affecting many grains, not just one. But, it could also be something we're ingesting now (HFCS, etc) that was previously not part of a human's diet and is not reacting well with grain. I'm just spitballing, I really need to do a little research! |
