What Would Our Founding Fathers Think Of The Country They Founded Today?
With an overreaching and immensely powerful federal government, an unrestricted and brutal police force designed to trample citizens' rights to protect that corrupt government, and a benign and pacified citizenry who are indifferent to the corrupt police state they live in as long as their level of comfort is not interfered with, what would our founding fathers think of what has become of their grand experiment of liberty? Not only have we lost sight of the importance and necessity of personal and collective liberty, but we have also become willing slaves to the mechanism that has put us in shackles by bribing us with empty promises of security and comfort. This country needs a reset to return it to what it once was. This is why the concept of an armed citizenry is so uncomfortable to those in power, and if we continue along the apathetic and powerless road we have been traveling down, those in power will get exactly what they want. If liberty and freedom from an oppressive government is not our first priority, then we are doomed to remain slaves to that government.
"Be still, and know that I am God." Psalm 46:10

Truth needs no validation because it is self-evident and undeniable. Therefore, anything that requires validation to be realized or justified as truth must contain at least some degree of falsehood.

Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.

I'd like to think they would have started a revolution 60 or 70 years ago.
We were in the water when the heat was turned on so we'll probably be cooked before we realize it's too late.

There would have been a revolution a long, long, long, long, long time ago, with the blood of patriots, and tyrants. But instead the tree of liberty is almost completely dead, and will remain that way, until the US and its history, is wiped from memory, and will only be thought about with found memories, until all those that lived in it, are dead and gone, and so it will be then as well, never to be repeated as an experiment, for it is a failed one.

They fought for the ability to have their own tax free money supply.

We don't even create our own money and that a huge part why we're fucked.

All the quotes are out their my the founders regarding "money" and the "cause" of the revolutionary war.

Then Washington went and fucked up a bunch of farmers who used whiskey basically as a currency because they refused to pay taxes on it and kicked the tax man out of town. Wtf was up with that?

Much like at the founding I think that ill mannered tyrants despoil the things of true integrity that they have not the vision, passion, nor perseverance to build.

I return now a stranger in a stranger land who can admit no more honest a response to my former country's ruination than woe fading into waking disinterest.

That's actually plausible. Not the Mars part, but to relocate, because that's what they had done to begin with.

They left the tyrants in England and Europe to a fresh landscape with ideas and principles they wished to live by.

Where could a similar thing be accomplished today? There were no drones, satellites, long range bombers, ICBM's, etc to contend with back then.

But still seems to be a viable option even with tyranny taking a global hold. They did wipe out the indigenous population here, that's not cool, and they were also financed by the banksters and the crown, not so likely today I'd imagine.

George Washington would still be demanding the return of his "slaves" who ran off to freedom in Nova Scotia.

The rest would be bitching about why there were still Indians left alive and how Catholics were allowed to celebrate midnight mass at Christmastime and enjoy equal rights under the law.

I think that the founding fathers would be slightly overjoyed, because they're American "experience" lasted as long as it has so far.

Morally, if they weren't capable of handling change, they wouldn't have founded the country in the first place.

They warned and expected government to be corrupt. They would be absolutely ashamed and disgusted at us for allowing it to get this way. They would probably leave us to this hell we allowed to be created.
