They bring it in under "particulates" in the air. As if Utah doesn't have enough dust in the air to sink it forever under an EPA ban. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 7966543 The state wants your comments "The proposed seasonal wood burn ban amendment would ban solid fuel burning in fireplaces and wood/coal stoves from November 1 to March 15, beginning in November of 2015. Homeowners whose homes are heated solely by wood and are registered with DAQ as a sole source residence would be permitted to continue heating with wood. "The Air Quality Board (AQB) is seeking public comment for this rule amendment. The 40-day comment period will run from January 1, 2015 to February 9, 2015. Public hearings will be held in Salt Lake, Provo, Davis County, Ogden, Logan, Tooele, and Brigham City. These hearings will give the public an opportunity to provide oral comments for the public record. There will not be technical presentations at these hearings, and all comments received during the comment period, whether written or oral, will be afforded the same consideration." User ID: 66904689 United States 01/22/2015 08:31 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Nothing more human than sitting nice to a wood fireplace as the snow is coming down. Or coming in from shoveling snow and hanging your damp clothes in front of the fire. The smell is actually a welcoming smell. I could imagine non existent atheists turning their nose at it. I have to burn my dying trees (chemtrails possibly killing them if sulphuric acid) or termites will take them over. Do they not think about the fleets of army termites?? I have seen the termites come out of the wood laying on the ground too in the spring. Ants with wings is what they look like. |

Something that attaches to the chimney tops and filters them out seems like a probable answer. If they can make "scrubbers" that attach to gasoline engines to allow machinery to operate indoors in an OSHA approved environment, surely they can make one for home and potbelly stove use. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 67275361 Americans... always wanting your primitive things like swords and guns and fireplaces. Time to move into the 22nd Century As opposed to what? Expensive gas or electricity? I can heat my home using wood for 1/3 the cost of gas and 1/8 the price of electricity. It seems pretty clear to me. Maybe electricity is free where you live?
