Fired Fox employee kills himself at News Corp HQ, says network 'ruined his life' and posts videos

I think Fox or should I say Newscorp or better yet should I say the Rockefellers, will be dealing with the cleanup from this for a long time. If he took people with him then his message would have been lost.

Guy seems a bit off to me, and I am not sure he understands the #1 rule of professional journalism:

YOUR PAPER OR NEWS STATION *WILL LICK THE BOOTS OF THE POLICE* OR NO MORE ACCESS/INTERVIEWS/STORIES... CAPICHE?

It operates that way in every town of every state in this entire country. The media ends up being the unpaid spokesmouth of the police - this is why police are never deeply questioned or shown in a bad light. It is just that simple.

Okay, I didn't need to watch all of the videos to see that there is something wrong with this person. He obviously didn't fit in and I see why. And to be fair, I don't know about Lorena...maybe she's a dingbat...who knows?...who cares? She doesn't come across to me as particularly bright but she doesn't come across as an over-bearing bully either. Maybe she changed his work because it needed it. And when he TESTED her by using an outside source and she changed that too, it seems to me she passed the test, right? Maybe the work didn't meet the criteria? Is that possible, anyone? Or is it simply that it's politically correct to immediately believe the whiner? To me, anyone who presents a 100 PAGE DOCUMENT DETAILING HIS SUPERVISOR'S PASSIVE-AGGRESSIVE BEHAVIOR needs to go. 100 PAGES? How about quit while you're ahead without making enemies and find yourself another job?

And something about the suicide doesn't ring true to me.

He was caught up with a bitch-from-hell manager "Kathie" who is obviously a control freak, and ultimately THOUGHT he had no real way face-saving way out. May Gid have TREMENDOUS MWRCY on his soul. I am extremely disappointed in FOX News for all of this. I am a supporter but get REAL. You will lose the majority of us for this kind of nonsense. No one likes a bully. Kathie.

First thing I thought of when listening to his rambling is Asperger syndrome. I've known two people with Asperger's and one would simply never shut up, and would tell the same story over and over for hours. The other kept a secret journal full of 'religious harassment' incidents (so he could sue), mostly when he sneezed and he'd write notes whomever said "God Bless You."

Hidden rage, blaming others, victimhood, constant repetitive dissection of the same topic, etc.

FWIW, Perea posted this picture of Austin Police Chief Acevedo's picture on facebook and that apparently led to his discipline and termination (while Perea secretly recorded conversations about this...)

too many people can not handle power they they have at their workplace. judging from this reporters videos he was indeed treated more than just unfairly at Fox. it appears that no one in position of power would care to listen to his arguments.

he took his own life with the intention of helping others who might experience similar wrongdoing at their workplace.

SHAME On FOX NEWS. From a corporate to a personal level, that's the best you could do for your own?? Ouch and blah. And I am a normal watcher. God knows what your critics will do with this misguided malfeasance.

While I do not have a degree in the subject I have read all the books for said degree just because they were interesting. (My ex was a psyche major).

My armchair assessment of this vlogger is pretty textbook, if you'll pardon the pun.

The dude sounds and behaves in his videos like someone with Asperger's Syndrome that had manifested in his life as obsessive compulsive disorder. Assuming he wasn't "like this" prior to being fired I will presume that the Narcissistic Personality Disorder (or perhaps Histrionic Personality Disorder) that screams from his videos manifested due to this event causing him to have a complete breakdown.

It is entirely possible that his coworkers "felt intimidated or frightened" by him due to being an Aspie. The vibe from most Aspies comes off like someone that will walk through the hallways with a BAR when pushed over the edge. While this is rarely the case, it's the sad reality of how Asperger's manifests itself in the assessment of others that deal with them on a day to day basis.

If he put as much effort into moving on with his life as he did documenting every damn detail, like a bad acid trip, he might have won another Emmy by now.

Listened to every video. My take he wasn't being bullied but his OCD related mental illness made him think he was.

Everyone is lucky he only took his own life.

Very sad how those managers conspired and humiliated him. GM Mike, Kathie, Lorena and Lisa all should be fired and charged with intent to commit involuntary manslaughter since they caused him to lose hope and commit suicide.
