Last McDonald’s Burger Sold In Iceland Unchanged After 6 Years
The last cheeseburger sold in Iceland in 2009 remains unchanged after 6 years, reports MBL.is. The only notable difference seems to be that the meat patty is a slightly lighter colour than before.

Your stomach is not like a vacuum which is where the burgers are kept in these experiments, been done hundreds of times and no body cares. You could stick a chocolate bar in there and it would not look any different after 100 years, are you going to stop eating chocolate?

Well you dont see much there really.
"The world will soon wake up to the reality that everyone is broke and can collect nothing from the bankrupt, who are owed unlimited amounts by the insolvent, who are attempting to make late payments on a bank holiday in the wrong country, with an unacceptable currency, against defaulted collateral, of which nobody is sure who holds title."

Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.

The woman who is not pursued sets up the doctrine that pursuit is offensive to her sex, and wants to make it a felony. No genuinely attractive woman has any such desire. - H.L. Mencken, In Defense Of Women

Stupidity abounds. Fuck McDonald's and their food but mold needs moisture to live and grow. A dried out piece of bread wont grow mold. Ever hear of beef jerky? That is what dried out hamburger becomes. Cook your own hamburger and let it sit on the counter for a year. It wont rot either,it just dries out.

it wont mould because they put calcium propionate in it.

A mould inhibitor which is also incidentally poisonous to humans.

This is the stupidest shit I've ever heard. Oh puhleeeze STFU!
That shit is under a glass lid. That is it. It is hardly a vacuum. It demonstrates quite simply that this "food" is of no interest to microflora. Which means its not food. Fuck you and your chocolate.

When they dug up Pompeii there was a overturned bowl on a table. When the bowl was lifted up it uncovered noodles that looked just as if they were just made. A little movement then turned then into dust. I guess they were filled with preservatives.

Re: Last McDonald’s Burger Sold In Iceland Unchanged After 6 Years
Conditions for Mold Growth in Houses
Besides oxygen and organic materials containing carbon to provide nutrients, the other main requirement mold needs to grow is moisture. You can find mold growing almost anywhere provided there is enough of a moisture source for it. Causes of Mold has more information about what causes mold in the home.

Mold problems cannot develop in houses unless there is a moisture problem. The moisture accumulation might be caused through humidity, condensation, or water intrusion from leaks, spills, floods, etc. Most molds only require suitable materials to be wet for 24-48 hours before they can grow.

Molds that can survive using only humidity as their moisture source are called Xerophilic, whereas other molds require an accumulation of moisture to grow. Indoors the best way to prevent mold growing is to limit moisture. To find out more about preventing mold in your home visit Prevent Mold.

Besides moisture, mold also needs the temperature to be right before it can begin to grow. Mold grows best in temperatures that we would consider warm, however there are some mold species that can even grow in temperatures as low as 2 degrees Celsius. If a mold colony's environmental conditions become unfavorable, instead of dying it can lay dormant until conditions become right again when it can continue to grow.

Re: Last McDonald’s Burger Sold In Iceland Unchanged After 6 Years
uhh isnt that the point of putting it in a vacuum area?! to preserve it?

how is this news. the only thing that grabbed my attention was the fact that iceland doesnt have mcdonalds? what??

poor people that have no idea about vacuum or how most food items are sold in a vacuum... so they last longer and look that same.

this is so dumb. someone else found a mc donalds burger in a garage after years and that still looked that same. and that was actually news. it had to do with the large ammounts of salt and the fact that most of it isnt actual food.

but this is just stupid....

Yes but if I make a burger at home it would be rotten and moldy after a week.

It's not the same.
