All white and a few others with local western accents. Obviously everyone was there for generations. I did the same last year. All Mexican and almost nobody spoke English. I would not object to this so much if traditional U.S. culture had been left alone -- meaning that people work for what you have, no "entitlements", etc. The problem I have is with the huge erosion of the middle class and the HUGE growth of the welfare class -- and, of course, the greed of the super-wealthy that created this situation. (The U.S. government has just been a tool of the super=wealthy for about 200 years, of course.) I don't think there will be a race war, but I do think there will be a culture war UNLESS -- and this is VERY possible, I think -- that the "traditionalists" bow down out of fear of reprisals. |
