Just to put things into perspective.
The Asatru temple (Norse Gods) will be built in a relatively low visibility area in the tree hill near Reykjavik airport. At the same time the mayor of Reykjavik has given the muslims a landmark area in Reykjavik for their mosque. It will be impossible to enter or leave Reykjavik without seeing the mosque. To see the Norse God temple, the same belief system of those who settled Iceland in AD 874-930 you will have to get directions and transportation to find it.
It should be the opposite way around. The Norse temple should be the landmark area.
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 56127011 Islam was never part of icelandic culture until Iceland entered the agreement with the EU in 1998 if i remember correctly. Then there hardly any muslims in reykjavik. Now they can immigrate from EU and do so. Not all icelanders are vikings and certainly not the current mayor of Reykjavik, a schizophrene.
