Whether you believe in evolution or not, assuming you do, the likely reason it didn't change is because its circumstances didn't change; there was no need to change, no push to adapt because it was stuck in and thriving in the environment it was already in, an environment that remained steady and unchanged.

If you'd read the article, which explains in detail, you would know.

I think there is minor adaptation that happens over time, but the big stuff ... not a chance.

Evolution is a great theory. One that can't even be disproven as it has built in excuses for why evolution didn't take place. Instead the lack of evolution is seen as proof of evolution. What a circular reasoning circle jerk.

I do believe in the basic definition of evolution, that is a change in the gene pool over time. But I do not believe in speciation and abiogenesis. There is a lack of observed cases of speciation where individuals are no longer capable of reproducing. There are no observed cases of abiogenesis.

Think about it. how do you religious people know that evolution goes against God? For all we know, evolution could be how God manifested the animals into existence. It's still Creation if you're the entity controlling and guiding it.

We've evolved to the point of being able to type on a computer, but we didn't need to either.

so how did the membrane, nucleus, mitochondria and organelles of even the simplest bacteria get together? No example of the individual components exist now nor is their a fossil record of these individual parts as free swimming life.

Proof lies with the accuser buddy.

Geology precludes an Earth of 10,000 years. Geology shows hundreds of millions of years. West Virginia was a flat plain. The creeks and rivers eroded the mountains into existing. Or the Teays River Valley. It is a now dry part of New River that is now 75 ft above the current river level. That means 75 ft of erosion happened since the river changed course. And before that the river had eroded the plain as it rose. Too many years. Or here in NC. We have quartz formed deep underground that is now on the surface. You can't make quartz veins of that size in that amount of time. Much less enough time for the ground to erode away and leave the quartz as nodules far from their vein.

Study geology. You'll find there is just no way the Earth is that young.

What's the deal? "Evolution" is about species specializing to an environment.. if that environment is stable and doesn't change, then there's no reason for the beasties to change
