What anti-vax parents get wrong about personal liberty (Disturbing article promoting tyranny)
One of the most terrifying articles I've seen since the beginning of this most current campaign of fear. "If you don't vaccinate your kids, you are actually impeding on your own liberty."

Re: What anti-vax parents get wrong about personal liberty (Disturbing article promoting tyranny)
I wrote the following response:

It's called utilitarianism; nullifying individual rights for "the common good" also understood as “the end justifies the means.” It is not a matter of fact. It is a philosophical theory, one which contradicts deontology, the theory that asserts certain individual rights are inalienable, like the right to one’s own body. Many of our individual rights are at risk when we allow the mob to use people as means to their ends.

Newman's examples (speed limits, motorcycle helmets, child abandonment) are a priori. That means they are ostensibly true on their face without scientific scrutiny. This is not the case with vaccinations, so his comparison is meaningless and demonstrative of his philosophical ignorance. Has the science demonstrated that the end justifies the means? Absolutely not. There have been no studies comparing the health of vaccinated individuals to the health of unvaccinated individuals. It is claimed that such studies would be unethical. There have been no studies of the effects of the vaccines as they are actually administered (clustered together, back to back) in doctor’s offices. Despite the vaccines containing foreign DNA (fetal cells, bovine cells), there have been no studies as to the potential mutagenic or carcinogenic effects on the human body. They have also failed to address that diseases were on the decline BEFORE the vaccines were introduced, a fact attributed to clean drinking water, better hygiene and sanitation, and decreases in malnutrition. (For instance, a killed measles virus (KMV) vaccine came into use in the United States in 1963. What you may not have heard, is that by 1963, the death rate from measles in the United States had already dropped by approximately 98%.)

Newman says “asking others to bear the risk and cost of your decisions, in fact, is more akin to cowardice than to liberty.” Really? Because that is exactly what the pharmaceutical companies have done. They have been granted total immunity from any liability by the government. When their products injure children it is now taxpayers who compensate these victims. The US government has quietly paid out $3 Billion to vaccine-injured Americans since 1989 via the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program. No other industry enjoys such privileges.

They have shifted the burden of proof. Interventionists who wish to inject a cocktail of foreign DNA and known neurotoxins and carcinogens into our children under the guise of “the common good” have the burden of proof. They need to prove that their intervention is safe and that it results in a better overall outcome when all things are considered. It is not our responsibility to prove that their intervention is unsafe, and yet here we are being forced to fight for our most basic human rights. Until there are independent nonpartisan studies comparing the health of vaccinated individuals against non-vaccinated individuals, and studies on the vaccinations as they are actually administered in the real world, and studies as to their long term mutagenic and carcinogenic effects, and studies as to their effects on fertility, and investigations into the billions of taxpayer dollars being paid out to vaccine-injured families, and the many claims of parents who insist their kids were never the same after vaccines, etc., they have NOT met their burden of proof to mandate the forced penetration of their substances into the bodies our children.

Inquiry is the very spirit of science. Those who demonize the people inquiring into the science of vaccinations are the ones who are ignorant and “anti-science.” Scrutinizing the logic, the assumptions, and the evidence behind the claims of pharmaceutical corporations and invasive government, I have continuously found sensational rhetoric standing in the place where substantive empirical data ought to be. They have failed to meet the most fundamental standards of justified true belief. And their current campaign of fear only serves to reveal this weakness.

I'm all for trying to figure out the motivation behind this media frenzy and mass hysteria. Covering up their deadly mistakes is as good a reason as any. Though, I'm afraid that it is meant to be a political football that will be used to drum up support for more mandates and the total loss of medical freedom.

During an argument today, I stumbled upon the fact that Ghandi was an avid anti-vaxxer.

“Vaccination is a barbarous practice and one of the most fatal of all the delusions current in our time.

Conscientious objectors to vaccination should stand alone, if need be, against the whole world, in defense of their conviction.”
-- Mahatma Gandhi

Very interesting how so much of history is kept hush-hush.

Re: What anti-vax parents get wrong about personal liberty (Disturbing article promoting tyranny)
I'm just beginning to read what Ghandi had to say about vaccinations, and, WOW!

"Moreover, vaccination is a very dirty process, for the serum which is introduced into the human body includes not only that of the cow, but also of the actual small-pox patient. An average man would even vomit at the mere sight of this stuff. If the hand happens to touch it, it is always washed with soap. The mere suggestion of tasting it fills us with indignation and disgust. But how few of those who get themselves vaccinated realise that they are in effect eating this filthy stuff!"

"Several of the most thoughtful men in England have laboriously investigated the manifold evils of vaccination, and an Anti-Vaccination Society has also been formed there. The members of this society have declared open war against vaccination, and many have even gone to gaol for this cause. Their objections to vaccination are briefly as follows:
(1) The preparation of the vaccine from the udder of cows or calves entails untold suffering on thousands of innocent creatures, and this cannot possibly be justified by any gains resulting from vaccination.
(2) Vaccination, instead of doing good, works considerable mischief by giving rise to many new diseases. Even its advocates cannot deny that, after its introduction, many new diseases have come into being.
(3) The vaccine that is prepared from the blood of a small-pox patient is likely to contain and [Pg 109] transmit the germs of all the several diseases that he may be suffering from.
(4) There is no guarantee that small-pox will not attack the vaccinated. Dr. Jenner, the inventor of vaccination, originally supposed that perfect immunity could be secured by a single injection on a single arm; but when it was found to fail, it was asserted that vaccination on both the arms would serve the purpose; and when even this proved ineffectual, it came to be held that both the arms should be vaccinated at more than one place, and that it should also be renewed once in seven years. Finally, the period of immunity has further been reduced to three years! All this clearly shows that doctors themselves have no definite views on the matter. The truth is, as we have already said, that there is no saying that small-pox will not attack the vaccinated, or that all cases of immunity must needs be due to vaccination.
(5) The vaccine is a filthy substance, and it is foolish to expect that one kind of filth can be removed by another.
By these and similar arguments, this society has already produced a large volume of public opinion against vaccination. In a certain town, for instance, a large proportion of the people refuse to be vaccinated, and yet statistics prove that they are singularly free from disease. The fact of the [Pg 110] matter is that it is only the self-interest of doctors that stands in the way of the abolition of this inhuman practice, for the fear of losing the large incomes that they at present derive from this source blinds them to the countless evils which it brings. There are, however, a few doctors who recognise these evils, and who are determined opponents of vaccination."

So we are supposed to listen to a rick newman a finance director about vaccinations? Huh? What? I wonder who the man really is and what organizations he works for and what their agenda might be? Do you think big pharma could be paying him for this piece? Well let's see, big pharma equals big money which is big finance and ricky boy is a .....drum roll please!!!! A finance writer!!! Wow, i think we've got it!!! It really is interesting that it's not even a medical person and as far as the article, it's terrible and illogical, a whole bunch of gobbledeegook! Non stop pieces on the media outlets, glp included, trying to plug the huge gapping holes in the vaccine story. Cracks are appearing everywhere and people have woken up! Big pharma, government parasites that feed off of it along with the whole medical establishment are scared shitless because they've been exposed! I've said it before and i'll say it again that precious little babies bodies can only take just so much of the never ending chemical soup that is being pumped into their newly developing bodies. There has got to be a limit, how many would that be, 50?100?1000?...... We've already reached the limit as to how much their little bodies can take and the evidence is heartbreaking and everywhere! Enough!

It's interesting to me mostly in a historical context. Many people accuse vaccine skeptics of being trendy and followers of playboy bunnies and other Hollywood types. They act as if history contains no revolts against vaccines.
