What was the tower of babel, anybody know?
Has anybody here spent some time studying the history of what this really was?

Would the completion of the new world order with one language, one religeon etc. be similar to a tower of babel?

Re: What was the tower of babel, anybody know?
The tower of babel wasn't a literal tower, it was the first world wide culture. G-d made the nations and different cultures and races.

Nimrod joined these cultures in to one language and way of life. This was thought to be ascending to God state,

There was no physical building or tower.

A book you may find interesting that I do not endorse. i put it here for what knowledge can be gelaned from it.

The Book of Urantia - A new attempt at the tower of Babel.

God didn't like the fact that they were making bricks, instead of using stones.. He used an EMP weapon fired from a spaceship to scramble their brains so they would abandon the communist colony and scatter into individuality. Seems like God used to get really pissed off quickly back then; the garden, the flood, the tower, etc. Either God has mellowed out, or we're in for some deep shit real soon..

Genesis 11: 1 And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.

2 And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there.

3 And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them throughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter.

4 And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.

5 And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.

6 And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.

7 Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech.

8 So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city.

9 Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.

This is the Sumerian Accounting of the Destruction of the Tower of Babel:

For Marduk therein a sacred city, a place for skyships, to establish!
When his followers at the place assembled, stones to build with they found not
Marduk how to make bricks and burn them by fire, to serve as stone, to them he showed,
Therewith a tower whose head the heavens can reach they were building.
To thwart the plan Enlil to the place hurried, to placate Marduk with soothing words he tried;
To stop Marduk and Nabu in their endeavor Enlil did not succeed.
In Nibru-ki Enlil his sons and grandchildren assembled; what to do they all considered.
Marduk an unpermitted Gateway to Heaven is building, to Earthlings it he is entrusting!
So did Enlil to his sonsand grandchildren say.
If this we allow to happen, no other matter of Mankind shall be unreached!
This evil plan must be stopped! Ninurta said; all with that agreed.
It was nighttime when from Nibru-ki the Enlilite Anunnaki came,
From their skyships havoc upon the rising tower, fire and brimstones they rained;
To the tower and the whole encampment a complete end they made.
To scatter abroad the leader and his followers Enlil thereupon decided,
Henceforth their counsels to confuse, their unity to shatter, Enlil decreed:
Until now all the Earthlings one language had, in a single tongue they speak.
Henceforth their language I shall confound, that they each other's speech will not understand!

THE TOWER OF BABEL

AGAIN, more than one God is involved. Also, the Gods departed from the Earth during the flood.

The "Tower of Babel" is another ALLEGORY. In ancient times, humans
could communicate telepathically, without words. This was taken from us, but is now becoming a reality again, as many of us are experiencing this through the opening of the mind and soul with power meditation.

Achieving the ability to communicate this way again is said to be rebuilding or - the raising of: The Tower of Babel.

Re: What was the tower of babel, anybody know?
The Tower of Babel episode makes sense only when seen in historical context, such as in the following timeline by researcher Zecharia Sitchen:

----------

Events After the Deluge

11,000 B.C.
Enki breaks the oath, instructs Ziusudra/Noah to build a submersible ship. The Deluge sweeps over the Earth; the Anunnaki witness the total destruction from their orbiting spacecraft.

Enlil agrees to grant the remnants of Mankind implements and seeds; agriculture begins in the highlands. Enki domesticates animals.

10,500 B.C.
The descendants of Noah are allotted three regions. Ninurta, Enlil's foremost son, dams the mountains and drains the rivers to make Mesopotamia habitable; Enki reclaims the Nile valley. The Sinai peninsula is retained by the Anunnaki for a post-Diluvial spaceport; a control center is established on Mount Moriah (the future Jerusalem).

9,780 B.C.
Ra/Marduk, Enki's firstborn son, divides dominion over Egypt between Osiris and Seth.

9,330 B.C.
Seth seizes and dismembers Osiris, assumes sole rule over the Nile Valley.

8,970 B.C.
Horus avenges his father Osiris by launching the First Pyramid War. Seth escapes to Asia, seizes the Sinai peninsula and Canaan.

8,670 B.C.
Opposed to the resulting control of all the space facilities by Enki's descendants, the Enlilites launch the Second Pyramid War. The victorious Ninurta empties the Great Pyramid of its equipment.

Ninhursag, half-sister of Enki and Enlil, convenes peace conference. The division of Earth is reaffirmed. Rule over Egypt transferred from the Ra/Marduk dynasty to that of Thoth. Heliopolis built as a substitute Beacon City.

8,500 B.C.
The Anunnaki establish outposts at the gateway to the space facilities; Jericho is one of them.

7,400 B.C.
As the era of peace continues, the Anunnaki grant Mankind new advances; the Neolithic period begins. Demi-gods rule over Egypt.

3,800 B.C.
Urban civilization begins in Sumer as the Anunnaki reestablish there the Olden Cities, beginning with Eridu and Nippur.

Anu comes to Earth for a pageantful visit. A new city, Uruk (Erech), is built in his honor; he makes its temple the abode of his beloved granddaughter Inanna/lshtar.

Kingship on Earth

3,760
Mankind granted kingship. Kish is first capital under the aegis of Ninurta. The calendar begun at Nippur. Civilization blossoms out in Sumer (the First Region).

3,450
Primacy in Sumer transferred to Nannar/Sin. Marduk proclaims Babylon "Gateway of the Gods." The "Tower of Babel" incident. The Anunnaki confuse Mankind's languages.

His coup frustrated, Marduk/Ra returns to Egypt, deposes Thoth, seizes his younger brother Dumuzi who had betrothed Inanna. Dumuzi accidentally killed; Marduk imprisoned alive in the Great Pyramid. Freed through an emergency shaft, he goes into exile.

3,100-3,350
years of chaos end with installation of first Egyptian Pharaoh in Memphis. Civilization comes to the Second Region.

2,900
Kingship in Sumer transferred to Erech. Inanna given dominion over the Third Region; the Indus Valley Civilization begins.

2,650
Sumer's royal capital shifts about. Kingship deteriorates. Enlil loses patience with the unruly human multitudes.

2,371
Inanna falls in love with Sharru-Kin (Sargon). He establishes new capital city Agade (Akkad). Akkadian empire launched.

2,316
Aiming to rule the four regions, Sargon removes sacred soil from Babylon. The Marduk-Inanna conflict flares up again. It ends when Nergal, Marduk's brother, journeys from south Africa to Babylon and persuades Marduk to leave Mesopotamia.

2,291
Naram-Sin ascends the throne of Akkad. Directed by the warlike Inanna, he penetrates the Sinai peninsula, invades Egypt.

2,255
Inanna usurps the power in Mesopotamia; Naram-Sin defies Nippur. The Great Anunnaki obliterate Agade. Inanna escapes. Sumer and Akkad occupied by foreign troops loyal to Enlil and Ninurta.

2,220
Sumerian civilization rises to new heights under enlightened rulers of Lagash. Thoth helps its king Gudea build a ziggurat-temple for Ninurta.

2,193
Terah, Abraham's father, born in Nippur into a priestly-royal family.

Re: What was the tower of babel, anybody know?
The tower of babel was a large pyramid or ziggurat built by the first known king after the great flood, Nimrod. The tower was the largest engineering project in ancient babylon, the capital city. The purpose of the tower was to show that man could create something so great and grand without the help of God. That man using intellect could build his own mountain. And stand atop it as God resides on the Mountain tops. It was a show of defiance toward God.

God seeing what the devil was up too, and noticing that man left to their own devices was capable of great things, that ultimately would create their demise and would destroy their happiness and lives. Hence he scattered the population into multiple nations and languages so they could no longer easily come together.

The point of the tower was to proclaim man as high as God, or to make man God. Which we are not. At this time Nimrod also introduced the Devil's religion which was polytheism. The worship of multiple god's. This of course was just the devil's way to proclaim himself God, and his demons.

When God scattered the population, this occult or Mystery religion went with them. The names changed, and the stories altered yet lived on. The Greeks call them Zeus, Hades, Poseidon, and so on. The mystery babylon is still alive and well within the Mystery religions, or false religions or occult. Polytheism for the most part. Islam, Catholic, Mormon, Hindu, Buddhism, and so on. The only true religion is Christianity. Proclaiming Jesus Christ is your Lord and savior and trying your hardest to learn to live like Christ, teach and be loving to every man you encounter.

Be fooled not. Mystery Babylon is alive and well. I would ask you to do your own research on the subject. Read books, go through history and read it for yourself. The United States is also built upon this Mystery religion and occult polytheism. Look up the painting at the top of the congress rotunda. It may shock you. Or the painting at the UN.

Every major invention which has enabled man to once again come together and be one has been made here in America. For example:

Plane
Internet
Personal Computer OS
Electricity
Oil

Babylon the Great! Flee ye out of the midst of her! For behold the day of the Lord cometh! Alas for the day! In that day if you are left behind and you survived the day of sudden destruction, God will call for:

Baldness upon every head
Sackcloth upon all loins
Instead of well set hair, baldness
Instead of beauty, branding (666)
And in that time God will make It as how one mourns for their only son and the end thereof as a bitter day!

For Behold Jesus Christ is coming with clouds! And every eye shall see Him, even those who pierced Him! Those clouds have hail stones and coals of Fire in them! For behold, the Lord God of hosts will open His armoury and bring forth the weapons of the wrath of His indignation! For the Lord God shall roar from Mount Zion and utter His voice from Jerusalem and the heavens and the earth shall Shake!

Behold you must make the pilgrimage! Spread the rumor

#willumakethepilgrimage

"Babylon is suddenly fallen and destroyed: howl for her; take balm for her pain, if so be she may be healed. We would have healed Babylon, but she is not healed: forsake her, and let us go every one into his own country: for her judgment reacheth unto heaven, and is lifted up even to the skies." 2 And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there.

7 Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech.

8 So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city.

There was no physical building or tower.
