Continuing with the description of the false prophet:

Rev 13:14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

So Rev 13:14 is telling us this false prophet is a great deceiver - but what kind of deception is he actually carrying out. Are his miracles faked in some way?

In the past I've compared the false prophet to a director/producer in a tv studio.

In John's time he had no way of understanding what he was seeing in a vision.

So when he saw the image of the beast - he thought it was a statue of some kind.

The difference is this statue could speak and was alive.

What do we have on our tv screens - an image.

And like TV shows, the false prophet could create illusions that appear to be miracles.

Summarizing false prophet up to this point:

The fp showed up after wob was destroyed by 10 kings and ac.

The world is already worshipping satan and the ac.

I've touched somewhat on the purpose of the fp, i.e being the director/producer of the show.

The beast in Daniel is likened to a war machine - going around the world trampling it and breaking it into pieces - devouring it.

Someone has to handle the affairs of this beast, control the press - spread propaganda; assure compliance of the masses.

The hierarchy here is: satan, ac, fp.

After the fp arrives on the scene - we no longer have references to the "beast", but the "image" of the beast.

At least for me, many questions come to mind.

Was the "beast" really resurrected?

We're told in the bible - only God can raise someone from the dead.

Is this the great deception the fp foists upon the unsuspecting world?

Is the fp - the resurrected "beast" - an imposter?

Where is the beast all this time?

How did the fp rise to power?

To me it's like a Rorschach Test - everyone sees something different :)

I think this verse gives us a clue what is going on - he gives life to the "image" of the beast. It doesn't say he raised the beast up from the dead.

We can find the answers to some of the questions in other books of the bible.

One answer comes from the book of Daniel.

The beast rules this world until Jesus returns to this earth.

So he is revived somehow.

In the next verses we have satan giving the beast all his powers - but he doesn't heal the deadly wound of the beast either:

Rev 13:1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

2 And the beast which I saw ..... and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.

So the world sees this beast get wounded and healed and is in awe of it.

The verses in Revelation below have to be reconciled before a conclusion can be reached.

Several nations/empires are propects that fits the profile - islam being one of them.

IMHO EU could be 7th head which is wounded through a collapse of Eurozone.

Islam - possibly middle eastern countries through collapse of oil.

The beast was, is not, and now is:

The ottoman empire - was and is not - and isis might just pull off recreating the caliphate.

EU - was the old roman empire - dissolved into many countries - became the EU which can collapse at any moment..

There may be other countries fit the profile - but these 2 stand out at the moment.

10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.

11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.

There are other verses that I believe will help identify the beast - but won't go into it now.

The false prophet and the beast have deceived the whole world to the point they have everyone on earth pledging allegiance to satan and the beast.

The fp ups the anti to worshiping the "image" of the beast or be killed.

Now - the whole world is in compliance and a decree is issued for all to receive a mark - or else
they can't buy or sell anything. This will flush out any hold outs.

Rev 13:16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

17 And that no man might buy or sell

The entire world now belongs to satan!!

The buying and selling is only allowed if you have the mark of the beast.

This mark can be in the form of a mark, name or number of the beast.

And states - here is wisdom. The number of the beast is 666.

Many people think wisdom comes with age - perhaps it refers
to the age of the beast 66.6

First, the false prophet declares all must worship the image of the beast; then all must have a mark of the beast to buy or sell anything.

And to bid farewell to the false prophet - I leave you with this:

Rev 19:20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

There has been a tremendous amount of interest generated in the mark of the beast and the number of the beast.

I would like to address potential scenarios how this might happen.

We have this interesting advancement that could be the mark of the beast - but the author states - it's not...

Centralization of banking under this system would create a Leviathan with the power to monitor and control the personal finances of every citizen in the country. With digital money, the government could view any financial transaction and obtain a flow of information about personal spending that could be used against an individual in a whole host of scenarios.

It would be virtually impossible to hide money under your mattress.

The central bankers could control everybody by simply eliminating cash and shutting off their atm & credit cards. This is exactly what they are planning.

The mark of the beast could be something as simple as a digital number in a tatoo that's visible either on the hand or forehead.

The number could be validated, and transactions completed on a smartphone.
