The question whether we are speaking of the antichrist or the beast when determining who the number 666 refers to is made even more difficult when we look at the following verses:

Daniel 7:7 After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast....and it had ten horns.

Rev 13:And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns,

15 life [was given] unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak....

Rev 17:8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit....

12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.

13 These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.

Rev 19:20 And the beast was taken.....cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

Rev 20:3 [devil] was cast into the bottomless pit

10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast [is]

If you notice the devil is cast into the bottomless pit - and it looks as though he may be the beast in Rev 17:8

These few verses point to who is really running the show...(the end times god of this world).

Rev 12:3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a [the devil], having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.

9 ...he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Rev 13:4 And they worshipped the devil which gave power unto the beast....

These verses appear to be the same.

However the devil has the crowns on the heads & the beast crowns on the horns.

These kings give their 'kingdom' (global world order) to the beast.

It's not unusual for God to refer to a country or an entity as a man or woman.


Take the Woman in Rev 12 - here he is referring to Israel:

Rev 12:1 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars

Therefore, it's not a great stretch for the beast to be a country and God refer to it as a man.

There are verses that make a clear distinction between the beast being an empire and others where that distinction is blurred.

One example of a clear distinction is Daniel 7:

7 After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns....

Here the distinction is blurred:

Rev 19:20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

Ten horns are ten countries that turn themselves over to the muzz antichrist:
1) Sweden
2) France
3) Germany
4) Britain
5) Canada
6) Holland
7) Netherland
8) Australia
9) Austria
10) United States , but Trump brings it back from the brink and gives the beast a head wound

I hate long posts - but in order to explain a few things I have to cite verses among other things.

First of all - the beast has 7 heads and 10 horns. It is the 7th head that is wounded. The US isn't the 7th head.

I has to be a country - that was, then was not, and them is.

The EU qualifies here. The Roman empire - was, was not and now is revived in the EU.

A muzz can't be the antichrist for 2 reasons.

1 - Dan 8:23 says when the transgressors come to a full (recognize God) the antichrist will stand up.

2 - Ezekiel 39:22-26 - tells us after the gog magog war - the Jewish people (transgressors) finally recognize God, and becomes a spiritual nation; instead of secular like it is now.

3 - Also after the gog magog war the heathen (muslims) now see God in all his glory.

Therefore, they now know that it is Israel's God who is all powerful - not allah.

Ezekiel 39:21 And I will set my glory among the heathen, and all the heathen shall see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have laid upon them.

23 And the heathen shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity: because they trespassed against me

According to Jesus in Matt 24 - the antichrist comes right before the great tribulation.

Meaning - the gog magog war starts before the great tribulation.

Reading all of Rev 13 - it's difficult to determine where we can say the beast is the antichrist.

He's first mentioned as the mouth of the beast.

2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion....

We're never told when he transitions to a man.

This verse is about the closest thing to making this transition:

5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months....

The use of the word 'him' is very important as the mouth.

In Daniel 11 - we see 'him' and 'he' refer to the antichrist in the latter days.

Perhaps we can extrapolate this usuage in Daniel 11 to Rev 13.

If we can do that - from here on in we can assume the beast is the antichrist.

In order to know who the 'him' is - we must refer to other verses in Daniel & Matthew 24:

I believe if we take verses in Daniel, Matthew 24, Rev 13 & 19, we can conclude the mark of the beast is the number of a man aka the antichrist and not the beast of Verse 1, Rev 13 (NWO).

However, from other verses - we might conclude the mark of the beast is not a number at all;

But that it's actually the Beast's name - Rev 15:2 victory over the beast's mark...and

Rev 15:2 victory over the number of his name.

And the number is the number of his name i.e. something like a person's SSN or tax id.

In answer to the question, is it the beast of verse 1 Rev 13, or the antichrist aka 'mouth' of the beast who the number 666 refers to - it's the antichrist.

The mouth is actually how the antichrist is introduced; making the transition of the beast as NWO entity, to the beast as a man.

OP, a bit of what you wrote is correct, but some of the stuff you are taking literally, that was symbolic, like the 2 witnesses, the person standing up high.

And as for Matthew 24:14, the Internet wasn't needed for that, as Jehovah's Witnesses have been preaching "this good news of the kingdom" door to door all around the earth for decades.

The part about everyone being able to see and hear of reports of wars, and stuff like that mentioned in Matthew chapter 24, I can see how the Internet, and the TV -the news, and phones make this be seen all around the earth.

How can we see the antichrist in the temple from a field without a mobile device?:

What we can tell from this is "the evil one" 2 Thes 2 is standing in the temple, declaring he is god.

Jesus says - when we see him flee.

This is a matter of great urgency.
