Come, trample the grapes, for the winepress is full; the wine vats overflow because their wickedness is great. Matthew 13:39 and the enemy who sows them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels. Then another angel came out of the temple and called in a loud voice to him who was sitting on the cloud, "Take your sickle and reap, because the time to reap has come, for the harvest of the earth is ripe." Judges 17:5 And the man Micah had an house of gods, and made an ephod, and teraphim, and consecrated one of his sons, who became his priest. --- teraphim: small images or cult objects used as domestic deities or oracles by ancient Semitic peoples. Notice Micah had a house of gods - with a little g. Judges 17:5 ....and consecrated one of his sons, who became his priest. From biblehub: ..If centuries elapsed before the Israelis were cured of their propensity to worship "other gods,"we can feel no surprise that "image worship" continued to linger among them, in spite of the condemnation of it by the stricter prophets. The calf-worship, the toleration of teraphim and consecrated stones (baetylia) and high places, the offering of incense to the brazen serpent, the glimpses of grave irregularities even in the worship of the sanctuary, show that it was only by centuries of misfortune and a succession of prophets that Israel was at last educated into the spiritual worship of the true God. In Israel there was no "authority" to enforce the rule of law. Judges 17:6 In those days there was no king in Israel, but every man did that which was right in his own eyes. Next we meet a Levite from Bethlehemjudah: Judges 17:7 And there was a young man out of Bethlehemjudah of the family of Judah, who was a Levite, and he sojourned there. |

Yes, at some time too the earth will end. When it does we will either destroy ourselves, or flee to other planets as a human species. That is why he also included when the apostle asked him when was the end of time, that they did not understand what they were asking. Read it all to understand. It is not about the end of earth or the kingdom of god, so much as the end of understanding reality in their terms. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 67843065 We refer to this person as the antichrist - because John tells us anyone who opposes Jesus and God is an antichrist. There will be many antichrists - but only ONE who goes into the temple and declares he is God. Jesus in Mathew 24 - tells us there will be many false christs, and cautions us to let no man deceive us. Paul in 2 Thessalonians 2 3 Let no man deceive you..and that man of sin be revealed Next to Jesus, I think the most prominent character in end times is the antichrist. The first place I recall reading about the AC is Ezekiel 38 - the gog magog war: 17 Thus saith the Lord God; Art thou he of whom I have spoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days many years that I would bring thee against them? It's because of this passage many think the gog-magog war is the Armagheddon war. I actually think we have 2 wars going on here and am not alone in this thinking. One is Ezekiel 38 and the other Ezekiel 39. I'll go into this later - but want to expound on the antichrist a little. Daniel 7 we get our first introduction to the antichrist - also known as the beast: 7 After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns. 8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things. 23 Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces. The three empires before this "fourth empire" were represented by some of the most ferocious animals of prey; but this “beast” is represented by a frightful monster. The other 3 beasts were identified as a lion, bear and leopard. The fourth beast wasn't symbolized as an animal. fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces. --- From Daniel 7 - this is the last "domain" on this earth.
