Revelation 18 describes an end time civilization nicknamed Babylon that is destroyed by the ''Beast'' leader ... in an attack ... by fire ...
in one hour (Revelation 17:16-18, Revelation 18).
This prophecy would be fulfilled by a nuclear attack. Babylon is wealthy, hedonistic (pleasure seeking), sexually immoral, the civilization seduces the nations of the world to behave immorally - (people in most nations watch immoral American movies and TV programs), and the civilization is the center for world trade. Jeremiah 51,53 says the culture scales the heavens (travels into space). Jeremiah 51,48 says the attack on the civilization nicknamed Babylon will come from a great nation to the
north. Directions in the Bible are generally with respect to Israel. The only great nation to the North of Israel is Russia - and Russia is the only nation in the world capable of destroying America with nuclear weapons
"in one hour".
There are too many correlations between this prophecy and America to be coincidence - especially since for the past year Russia has been threatening America with a nuclear attack in retaliation over Ukraine: [

By the way, the leader of the great nation to the
north of Israel that attacks and destroys end time Babylon is the Beast/Antichrist of Revelation 17:16-18 - and Daniel also says the Beast/Antichrist will come from the
north:
Daniel 10:28-31
"The king of the
north ... will be set against the holy covenant; ... His forces will rise up and desecrate the temple fortress.
They will abolish the daily sacrifice and set up the abomination of desolation."
The Catholic church, the largest Christian denomination in the world and Byzantine Orthodox Christians have churches in Israel and Jerusalem where they offer a
"daily sacrifice". They re-enact Jesus Christ's final meal before his crucifixion when he gave bread and wine to his apostles saying, "this is my Body"; "this is my Blood". These are offered daily in there churches as a "sacrifice" to God.
The prophecy that the Beast/Antichrist
"will abolish the daily sacrifice" could refer to abolishing the daily sacrifice in these churches.
The other prophecies earlier in this post suggest that the Beast/Antichrist comes from Russia - the "great nation to the north" of Israel. This also correlates with the fact that the former Russian-led Soviet Union was the "evil empire" (nicknamed by president Regan) - and during the 20th century the Russian-led communists
abolished the daily sacrifice in all Catholic and Orthodox churches (except for Orthodox churches secretely infiltrated by communists). They killed thousands of Catholic priests and nuns and demolished thousands of churches; and converted other churches for non-religious use. Those churches became
"desolate" - devoid of Christian religious activity.
After invading Israel a communist leader from Russia would be expected to do the same thing:
"abolish the daily sacrifice" in the Catholic and Orthodox churches; and make them [b/"desolate", devoid, of Christian religious activity. This is more evidence suggesting that the Beast/Antichrist will be from Russia. The present leader of Russia was a high level member of the communist KGB spy agency in the former communist Soviet union. Daniel 8:15-23 says that Antichrist will be a man of
"fierce countenance".
