Library of Alexandria
Mystery of Ancient Egypt's Legendary Library of Alexandria

[link to youtu.be]

The Royal Library of Alexandria, or Ancient Library of Alexandria, in Alexandria, Egypt, was one of the largest and most significant libraries of the ancient world. It was dedicated to the Muses, the nine goddesses of the arts. It flourished under the patronage of the Ptolemaic dynasty and functioned as a major center of scholarship from its construction in the 3rd century BC until the Roman conquest of Egypt in 30 BC. With collections of works, lecture halls, meeting rooms, and gardens, the library was part of a larger research institution called the Musaeum of Alexandria, where many of the most famous thinkers of the ancient world studied.

The library was created by Ptolemy I Soter, who was a Macedonian general and the successor of Alexander the Great. Most of the books were kept as papyrus scrolls, and though it is unknown how many such scrolls were housed at any given time, their combined value was incalculable.

A few sources differ on who is responsible for the destruction and when it occurred. Although there is a mythology of the burning of the Library at Alexandria, the library may have suffered several fires or acts of destruction over many years. Possible occasions for the partial or complete destruction of the Library of Alexandria include a fire set by Julius Caesar in 48 BC, an attack by Aurelian in the AD 270s, and the decree of Coptic Pope Theophilus in AD 391.

The suspects respectively are a Roman, a Christian and a Moslem - Julius Caesar, Patriarch Theophilus of Alexandria and Caliph Omar of Damascus.

What a great thread.

Wouldn't it be great if a huge cache of documents from the Library were found under Giza in the tunnels or something?

Re: Library of Alexandria
Yes, it did. It seems strange though, that there is nothing at all left of the volumes, that nothing was saved

I would not be surprised if a lot of it is in the Vatican.

That makes a lot more sense than all of it being lost

Why? the Governments would lock them away and study them but never in a million years would they share any of the information with us.

They have blocked great underground caves and carved out cities to keep us from exploring them or enjoying the adventure and mystery of these places.

It's always fun to think where humanity would be right now if most all the information that was held at that Library had not been lost.
We might very well have colonies on Mars by this point in history.

Everything was removed before set alight..Probably the earliest instance of false flag. It's all hidden in the vatican. Knowledge that would threaten its very existence.

Re: Library of Alexandria
The great stores of knowledge of pre-Flood and pre-Babel wisdom were kept in the huge depositories of the ancient world: the great libraries of Memphis, Carthage, Alexandria, Constantinople and Yucatan. All were wantonly put to the torch by the Romans, Vandals, Spaniards and Muslims, a loss that cannot be calculated. In 640 CE, the Caliph Omar used the millions of priceless manuscripts of the Library of Alexandria to fuel the city's baths: for six months the fires roared, fuelled by the knowledge of the ancients. If only a fraction of these incunabulae had been saved, all the piled-high hoary errors and prevarications of the anti-Torah and hostile atheistic historians (eg.Dio Cassius, Herodotus, Thucydides, Hellanicus, Apion, Voltaire, Graetz, Weiss, Wellhausen, Spengler, Russel, Toynbee and Taylor) would be demolished, and the missing pages of history would be known. History would have to be rewritten and geological time revised in accordance with the Torah.
