We will conquer Rome with Allah’s permission,” a militant in the video said. As alarming as the warning is, Italians chose to respond mockingly to the hashtag #We_Are_Coming_O_Rome by giving the Islamic State group travel tips and traffic updates for when they arrive in Rome. ISIS threatening this #We_Are_Coming_O_Rome: well if they do they better learn to drink as that's part of Italians life! a good vino [link to english.ahram.org.eg] Check out more tweets with pictures, hilarious! It’s shot in the vein of ads for the French cheese spread La Vache Qui Rit, known in the middle east for corny commercials that often feature a parent encouraging their child to eat a cheese sandwich while waxing poetic about its health benefits. One of the terrorists spreads the cheese onto a round of pita with his dagger and hands it to his giddy companion. “From the fields of Raqqa,” says the narrator, “we bring you this cheese. Take it with you to wherever you decide to blow yourself up.” The “Tak Firi” ad — the name references the Arabic term for a Muslim who accuses a co-religionist of apostasy — aired in October on the Albasheer Show, an online Iraqi comedy news program hosted by Ahmed Albasheer, a 30-year-old native of Anbar province. Militants of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria have been mocked by one social media user who has imitated what an ISIS member would look like if he were to accept the challenge. Instead of the cold ice water, a red liquid – presumably depicting blood – sloshes down on a masked man who stands in front of a black flag associated with ISIS. It is unclear where the video was filmed. (OP) User ID: 68131771 Egypt 02/21/2015 11:39 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This untitled short, played between longer sketches, plays out like a standard joke. Here, an everyday taxi driver stops and picks up a fundamentalist type by the side of the road. The driver speaks with him informally, but his passenger quickly tells him to speak in formal Fusha Arabic, as that’s how people spoke in the time of the Prophet Mohammad. The driver asks if he’d like to listen to the radio; the passenger tells him to turn it off, since they didn’t have that in the Prophet’s time. The driver asks if he’d like some A/C, but gets the same response. When the cabbie’s cellphone rings, you can imagine his rider’s problem. Finally, the driver’s had enough. “Were taxis around in the Prophet’s time?” he asks. “A thousand times no!” he replies. So the cabbie pulls over and kicks out his rider. “Ride a camel,” he says. “Like they did in the Prophet’s time!” From Iraqi sketch show State of Nonsense, which works as a meta-comedy about Islamic State members pitching their own TV show, comes a parody of Who Wants to Be A Millionaire called Who Will Butcher a Million? It’s a better pun in Arabic: the Iraqi version of the real show translates to Who Will Win the Million, and the Arabic words for “butcher” and “win” sound similar. State of Nonsense also brings Islamic State’s Got Talent. [link to www.dailydot.com] Watch all the videos with their explanations on this link, they are hilarious! The journalist approaches a local and says, "I thought the custom in Islamic countries was for wives to walk ten paces behind their husbands?" "It was," replied the local, "But that all changed with the war." "How did the war change things?" The journalist enquired. The local replied, "Land mines." |
