They will do things that even a 5 year old would know was not safe. Quoting: deanoZXT I know in Washington State, a few have been killed. Shocked to death. Stripping live wires from lights along the Interstate. They have even stripped wires from State Patrol communication towers. They actually climbed up them. Meth heads will kill your mom, and rape her cat, then eat you mom's food out of the fridge and strip all the aluminum gutters from her house. All for Meth money. um, fiber optic line is not copper. Meth heads don't know that. They just find wires, and start stripping shit. Meth heads don’t usually dig into the ground to get their copper. They get it where they can see it hanging on the poles. A meth head that goes to the trouble to find an underground cable, and dig down to it, will have most likely already determined the difference between fiber and copper in his previous less industrious theft activates. If they took the time to locate the cable, they would already know it’s fiber (the posted “fiber” signs kind of give it away), and look elsewhere for scrap. In general, meth heads go for stuff above ground. It takes too much digging and too much time to uncover enough cable to account for any value. The time taken increases their chance of being caught, which is something all the more successful meth head thieves have quickly found out. So, no, this was not a meth head. This was an intentional act to cut the cable in a place that would be hard to find, and hard to fix. |

Then why wasn’t he still there digging when they found the cut point an hour or so later? Or why didn’t he dig out a 5, `10 or 20 foot section before he started cutting? You know, get a good section of line uncovered before he made the cuts to take it which he knows would cause people to start looking. You don’t cut the line before you have it where you can take it once you cut it. If someone did as you say, cut the line before they started digging along the line to uncover it, they would have made it impossible for themselves to actually steal any of the line before they got caught if it was copper. Someone that stupid would have been caught along time ago. No, none of that. They dug a single hole to get to the line, then cut it completely and then ran. |

To try and start a conversation among AZ residence about a internet connectivity cut for the state, on the internet, is not likely to produce much results. It’s self defeating. The people you want to talk about it can’t, because they have no internet, which oddly enough, is what you are wanting to talk about, which is why they can’t talk about it. SeewhatImean…………. Ok. Logic. I'll give you that. But a lot of Arizonans had cell phones that functioned. ..I mean, AT&T/Sprint were out completely... but Verizon still had full bars. I don't know. Just seems odd. Tons of GLP traffic on suspicious events and predictions that suffer from the GLP effect and never come to fruition. Yet, when honest to God s#!t hits the fan and 911 no longer functions for millions of Americans? Teeny tiny bits of information that barely makes ripples. Maybe the lack of GLP coverage directly indicates the level of crap going down for real? |

In fact, that might be the bs part. It was not cut at all... something else happened? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 61412077 That's in my mind as well. As of 2pm local time today, service workers were "painstakingly inspecting miles of line". Yet at 4:30 local time, services were restored on full, as if a switch was flipped. There are pictures of the line break...and it was buried underground. Shill harder losers. Those shills are something else! I would love to be paid to spread propaganda. Laying new water line, boring it out as to not have to dig up the side of roadway, going along "UNDERNEATH" the fiber optic line, no problems, UNTIL- for whatever reason, the fiber optic line goes straight down from a depth of 5 foot to a depth of 10 foot. BOOM, we go right thru the fiber optic line! They will mark the lines for you on top, but they refuse to tell you what depth the lines are buried for "security reasons". A 10k fine, on top of cost the replace the fiber op line was what this "down turn" cost. The Alexandria, LA State Police had no internet, the local hospital had no internet as well as many others.
