Quoting: Anonymous Coward 68181143 I'm south of ya and didn't hear a peep. It's all fun & games until the Dogman stands up Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well-preserved body but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "Holy Shit! What a ride!" In times of trouble, I ask myself, "What would Sarah Conner do?" |

In fact, that might be the bs part. It was not cut at all... something else happened? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 61412077 ^^^^^ This. Unless there was some dark (unused) fiber that they were able to repurpose, splicing has to be done one fiber at a time. Very time consuming. Definitely something weird about this. How is it even possible that so many different companies and service providers would be routed through one bundle? Who owned it? EDIT: AC 68387284 said: "The line affected belonged to Centurylink. Use of this line is also sublet to other communication companies, including Verizon and CableOne, hence a downtime across several carriers." Thanks for that. It still seems strange that an entire region would be on one line. aHEMagain Last Edited by aHEMagain^2 on 02/26/2015 01:51 AM "And once again, Probability proves itself willing to sneak into a back alley and service Drama as would a copper piece harlot." -- Vaarsuvius, The Order of the Stick [link to tvtropes.org] "History doesn't repeat, but it does rhyme" -- Mark Twain "It is wrong always, everywhere, and for anyone, to believe anything upon insufficient evidence.-- William Clifford [link to myweb.lmu.edu] |

They will do things that even a 5 year old would know was not safe. Quoting: deanoZXT I know in Washington State, a few have been killed. Shocked to death. Stripping live wires from lights along the Interstate. They have even stripped wires from State Patrol communication towers. They actually climbed up them. Meth heads will kill your mom, and rape her cat, then eat you mom's food out of the fridge and strip all the aluminum gutters from her house. All for Meth money. Holy shit! You really are confused about meth heads. I agree that most meth heads are fucking idiots, but not all of them. How you described meth heads is the typical, nonsensical exaggeration that is simply not true. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 67976722 United States 02/26/2015 02:22 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Don’t be too hard on your state. To try and start a conversation among AZ residence about a internet connectivity cut for the state, on the internet, is not likely to produce much results. It’s self defeating. The people you want to talk about it can’t, because they have no internet, which oddly enough, is what you are wanting to talk about, which is why they can’t talk about it. SeewhatImean…………. Ok. Logic. I'll give you that. But a lot of Arizonans had cell phones that functioned. ..I mean, AT&T/Sprint were out completely... but Verizon still had full bars. I don't know. Just seems odd. Tons of GLP traffic on suspicious events and predictions that suffer from the GLP effect and never come to fruition. Yet, when honest to God s#!t hits the fan and 911 no longer functions for millions of Americans? Teeny tiny bits of information that barely makes ripples. Maybe the lack of GLP coverage directly indicates the level of crap going down for real? Or maybe, nobody that knew about it could post about it. Or, they posted about it and then lost their internet connection, so they couldn't reply and keep the threads going. |

As of 2pm local time today, service workers were "painstakingly inspecting miles of line". Yet at 4:30 local time, services were restored on full, as if a switch was flipped. There are pictures of the line break...and it was buried underground. Shill harder losers. Have you ever spliced a fiber cable? Two and a half hours is a ridiculously fast repair. aHEMagain "And once again, Probability proves itself willing to sneak into a back alley and service Drama as would a copper piece harlot." -- Vaarsuvius, The Order of the Stick [link to tvtropes.org] "History doesn't repeat, but it does rhyme" -- Mark Twain "It is wrong always, everywhere, and for anyone, to believe anything upon insufficient evidence.-- William Clifford [link to myweb.lmu.edu] |

Businesses couldn't process credit card transactions, ATMs didn't function, and even weather reports were affected in an area stretching from north of Phoenix to Flagstaff, about 100 miles away. I wouldn't doubt for a second that they're behind this. And that they believed what they were doing was a good idea because they were protecting the world from the evil internet or something. When they do that crap their brains turn to swiss cheese where the holes fill up with the most bizarre, insane fantasies and logic that they hold to solid-as-a-rock truth(s). And even years after they're "cleaned up", they still live in fantasy land forever. They don't need rehab and therapy, they need repurposing. Like into landfill. |
