You should go to a benzo-withdrawal forum Trey...they'll be a lot more helpful than the folks here for sure!

They'll also be able to suggest other things to try to lessen the effects.

Benzo's can be hard to come off from what i've read - so keep in mind that although you may experience symptoms, KNOW that they are temporary and you'll get beyond it.

The substitute prescription you've been discharged with should help prevent such a huge benzo withdrawal.

Seriously, a benzo forum is worth googling for.

Dilantin is one of the older, if not the oldest anticonvulsants.

It is generally considered a very safe, benign drug, and like most drugs, may be used for differing reasons.

I know someone who has taken it for decades, and another who has taken it for years - in your case, it may be for a much shorter time.
