You must have missed it. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 6057237 Here it is: Thread: ISS through my telescope this morning |

Disturbing that now I see satellite -like objects. Very dim. They move erratically. They cross the sky's Slowly at first and turn unlike regular satellites And stop as if searching for something and then Proceeding forward at speeds that defy physics. Maybe they are unmanned. They are visible to anyone but very dim. Seems like they are searching for something or perhaps Picking something up or dropping something off. Idk. |

There should be THOUSANDS! It should be a litter box of flying turds out there! Quoting: Thrilla I can show you thousands of other satellites too. They're not kites, my pictures are real. We all know the Black Knight has been photographed by amateurs. So where are the amateur photos of regular satellites? Quoting: Thrilla I know this sounds like a strange question...but, I'd like to see what one looks like in orbit...not computer generated images on google image search. mkay. We are not children of celestial fuckin' light, walkin' arm-in-arm into the Age of Aquarius. We are wankers who wreck the planet an' piss on each other, 'til half the world's starvin' an' the other half's busy findin' new ways to keep from noticin' it. That's the fuckin' limit've our potential, believe me. :jcbanner: |

Nor do they look like this: [link to www.tarrdaniel.com] That is not ISS, that is not what ISS looks like from a ground based amateur telescope. Yet that was one of the first images of ISS JLW produced to try to prove that he can track satellites. It was his "positive control." This is what ISS actually looks like: When confronted about his inability to provide recognizable images of known satellites like ISS, he produced this image: [link to www.thelivingmoon.com] Great image, just one problem. It's not his. He stole that picture from a real satellite tracker, Paul Rix. |

I guess I know what you think. My area has been refreshed on Google Earth many times in the last two years and there have been vehicle changes in my drive way that are shown in the sat view. Are you saying they keep track of every square foot of the earth then come back and change the CGI to match? How would they do that if they didn't have sat images because my driveway is obscured from the road and it's over a mile long? Are you proposing they do fly overs by airplane over every square foot of the US? |
