They are probably "baiting" the area. What this does is it attracts the dark spiritual forces into the area making it easier for their "summoning and conjuring" rituals to bring forth and manifest powerful dark entities which I hope they will be able to command and control. What usually happens when they manifest are these:  Consider this a warning. So why is there not a crowd of spirits at slaughter houses? Because those at the slaughter houses are not using the animals to 'cast' with. IE: food for thought.
