Yes custom suspension has been purchased for the Mach 1. Nobody has done what has been done to this one. Its actually pretty awesome. Instead of door handles a button will open the door.

Only one other person owned the car, he died while out on a date and it sat all that time.
 Quoting: KillerB

Sweet. Yeah, i'm upgrading all the suspension in the Charger along with Brembos all round. Will be a tough resto mod. Ordered a Keith Black 440 wedge and pro charging it. should run 9s all day long and street driven.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 68613315

Nice.. Where did you get the body from? My dodge had a lot of rust. So much money was put into the body.
 Quoting: KillerB

I picked the car up from Nevada. Most Aussie petrol heads know where to find the good clean cars from. Cali, Texas, Nevada usually have the best rust free cars.
I have a couple of rare Aussie muscle cars too.
This is an iconic Aussie muscle car with true racing pedigree. Since you like your Fords.

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 68613315

Bloody nice! I'm thinking of moving back to NZ and taking the cars with us. My uncle has some awesome classics over there. But if I mentioned them you would know who i am.. Because he is the only one with the types of cars in NZ. Cali has a lot of rust. Arizona is the best place for cars, no salt or sea so the body is normally pretty good. Haven't purchased in Texas though.

I'm a huge fan of old Cadillacs, though I don't yet own one. The 1962 convertible and 1960 Sedan deVille 4window hardtop are at the top of the list. Also love the '48 fastback.

I think the Exner era Chryslers and Imperials are insanely cool. The deSoto's are as well. One day I'd love to find a Firedome like Jimmy Stewart drove in Vertigo...

We have a 1965 Galaxie, 1966 Mustang and '56 Nomad in the family along with some old BMW's. The 2002 and e28 5 series are among the favorites-sports cars with seating for 5!

had a caddie sold to a guy in Kentucky. He drove up here and the thing needed total restoration. Had sat for so many years rats made nests. They are awesome.. I certainly couldn't drive it though. They are big! have a ford fairlane which is all original from the day it got off the show room floor. I have never driven it. My husband has and the thing .. Just doesn't park well! Nobody builds parking spaces like they used to.

Sorry you had a divorce. I'm glad you got your two girls, tell you what. Girls need fathers more than people think. My father is a horrible cave man. But with us girls he was gentle and love him. Had to work with attorney generals before, they are not easy.

Owned a `71 Mustang Mach 1 back in the day. Ram Air hood that was vacuum line functional 3spd 351 Cleveland fastback. Was lots of fun, but....

Classic cars? Any inline 6 BMW 528i, 635i, 535i Drove my `81 528i 5spd etc for 19yrs replaced only brake pads, struts, tires and one head gasket. Mechanic who replaced the head gasket sent the head out to be trued; machine shop said valves were perfect: Castrol 20wt 50.... Great Handling car and easy to work on.

Not that dog of a 528e; those were shit and slow. 528i would do 130mph in 5th gear and not break a sweat...

Mercedes of 142 chassis builds also Classics. Feel like motoring on avenue at 30mph but you're going 110 on the interstate... Like riding on rails. Superb. Have a 420sel would love a 560. DOHC super sophisticated motors. Make a 289 high performance look like a joke. Good torque too. Not to mention a real 4spd hold high torque auto trans.

Classics... Volvo 245 station wagons Volvo 164 sedans BMW 2002tii, Mercury Capri, Datsun Z series, Cadillac Eldorado from late 60s to mid-70s. Dodge Cummins 5.9 diesel 4x4 trucks. The Big Ford SUV with PowerStroke Diesel...

AMX, Hurst-Olds, Buick 455 Stage 1, SS Camaro, Impala SS any year, Chevelle SS, Ford 67 fastback Mustang The Bullit Car... Any Dodge Challenger, especially a six pack with pistol-grip shifter.

Can't imagine paying even $10K for old iron wiht shit suspension and ancient A/C. Drag racing, maybe...

BMW 2800csi fastback 2dr pretty much the epitome of Classic, in real world terms. Almost went for a Porsche 928 in the mid 80s. Porsche Turbo Carerra a bit too obvious. Dino Ferrari about the best looking body style of all time. Like a car out of Nick Fury Agent of Shield comic book after marvel got him out of the Howling Commandos.

While I was going to uni and also paid my own way outside of home, I saved 50.00 per week. Meant hardly any food haha. I got my first car a white honda prelude.. Bloody shit car. Got a bad gasket little bugger. I learned about them and wanted to repair myself. Then I got a job at 18 as a marketing assistant and needed a reliable car so purchased a 1982 BMW. It had 10 Miles on it.. Was sitting all the time in some rich guys house. I loved that car! I mean loved it! No problem at all. Then I sold it and packed a suitcase and moved to USA... I had just turned 21 and everyone thought i was crazy giving up a good job and everything I had. 1600 after debt and best decision I ever made. I love BMW.. I will own one again but not into the newer models I like the square older ones personally.

Jags, they are sex on wheels the older models...

Have a dodge charger which has had all the body work done. Bloody thing has cost more money than I can believe. Sad thing, once done it will not be worth what has been put into it. I don't understand why dodge chargers don't bring the money mustangs and other classics do. Pretty sad really. Because they are awesome

Not much is going on with GLP, so I will post something very close to my heart. Great American made cars. One thing about American's they built awesome cars.

I have a few in my collection. My personal car is a 1969 Mustang Convertible. Have a 1969 Mach 1 boss almost finished with a 390 and totally custom. No chrome or door handles and the gas tank has been relocated. Have a few others, but I'm a mustang gal.

Who else is all about their classics and what's your favorite? If you could have one car what would it be? New or old?

I'll try to upload some photos in this post.

I don't care the fuel price, great cars are about history and great history it is.

1950 Buick and 1970 super bee. I'll settle with my 70 Chevelle though.

I miss my 70 SS 4 speed L34, but the $30 grand was nice.

Chevelle wins.
