Wow... lots of electrical explosions. That's some intense footage.

it's not uncommon for live tornadoes to be on tv in Oklahoma City. I lived there for years, loved it.
The news helicopters film them live, telling people where the threats are right down to the street.
Best weather people in the whole country.
Doppler radar was invented just south of there in Norman, Oklahoma.

The first practical radar was invented in 1935 by Sir Robert Watson-Watt was used for enemy planes and ships that the Germans might encounter during World War II.

After World War II, the radar was used in many other different wars until the 1960's, when the National Weather Service began experimenting with Doppler radar for weather detection. In the late 70's and early 80's, Doppler radar was beginning to be used at television stations. In 1982, a similar version of the Doppler radar was added on to the Weather Service weather radar in Montgomery, Alabama. This radar was improved in 1985 and started appearing in other Weather Service areas across the nation. Today, the newest version of the Doppler radar is the NEXRAD. These radars are more powerful and have more features than any radar in history.

Here's what was crazy:

All the weather men, even Gary England was telling us on Facebook that it was no big deal. Everyone relax.

The air outside told me a different story. It was glowy green. Wind whipping around all over the place. Extreme internal discomfort - if you live in Oklahoma long enough, many of you will feel the charge of the weather before it happens. I knew it was coming and I was trying to figure out why these meteorologists are acting like "nothing to see here, move along". Especially since they are usually overly dramatic about a sprinkle.

So here I am, confused at what they are telling me, and what I am seeing and feeling, and I look outside and see clouds swirling directly above my house. Still no word about rotation. No word about anything other than "oh everyone relax, even if we get a tornado it will be very brief and wimpy".

Look back out and things are churning.

And then...

The sky is falling. Tornado on the ground. They're announcing over and over "tornado on the ground! "...not even giving the information people need like where the hell it is. I knew where it was but not everyone did. The weather men are there to tell us where the fuck that shit is taking place!

No warning whatsoever. Why? We usually get at least 15 minutes (typically more).

Not this time.

With all the Videos of Wednesday's tornadoes, posted here, on YouTube and on TV news, I think it's odd we don't see actual lighting bolts at all, just flashes. Anyone else notice that and think it's odd?

not a fluke...

...when weather is intentionally being manipulated, the weather detection centers in the area generally go off line...because there are tell tale signs of manipulation...

So the meteorologists info supply was probably interrupted but they didn't want to admit it...they were in the dark....

wonder if THEY got their man?
