Re: The World at War
I need a recommendation for a good Hebrew Bible [in English] written by a Rabbi or Rabbis or someone well known in the Jewish community to be a scholar, and I would like it to pay particular attention, no matter how small, to the strict translations with explanations on how the understanding of words were arrived at like my Torah does.

I have been using the library at our local temple but interestingly enough they have so many new people coming in their copies are not always available and there are scriptural texts that I am not permitted to see alone [I don't blame them I would do the same].

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I ordered both recommendations in hardbound and I will tell you why. When I first bought The Torah I got together two bibles, one KJV and the Catholic bible, and went through each passage comparing what each said to the same passages in The Torah. I can say this with full certainty. There is A LOT missing in the generally accepted Christian bibles that can only be found in the Torah, and the Torah painstakingly explains how a word was translated because some ancient Hebrew words don't even have a translation in modern Hebrew let alone English, so they explained in detail how one word, just one word, took years of study to translate.

So I am going to clear off my long desk again, get out my best reading glasses and lenses, and start reading and comparing. The copy of my Torah looks like I had it for years, its so worn, highlighted, and dog-eared. I like being able to hold the book I'm studying. I did mention I'm an old granny, right, and some habits die hard.

If I read and study them to my last days, I will die happily. I am called to do this and I will.

Does that sound familiar ?

Victory! The Arch From The Temple Of Baal Planned For New York City Has Been CANCELED

The Temple of Baal is NOT coming to Times Square in New York City next month. This is great news, and it represents an incredible victory for Christians in the United States...

[link to endoftheamericandream.com]
 Quoting: Earth Cries

Not cancelled...just delayed a bit...

The Monumental Arch, also called the Arch of Triumph or the Arch of Septimius Severus, was a Roman ornamental archway in Palmyra, Syria. It was built in the 3rd century during the reign of emperor Septimius Severus. Its ruins later became one of the main attractions of Palmyra. The arch was destroyed by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant in October 2015, but some remains still survive and there are plans to rebuild it using anastylosis.

The Monumental Arch was built sometime during the reign of emperor Septimius Severus, which lasted from 193 to 211 AD; it linked the main street of the Colonnade and the Temple of Bel. The arch was meant to integrate the southern and central parts of the Colonnaded as its location marks a change of 30° in the orientation of the street.

A 20 foot (6.1 m) replica the central part of the Monumental Arch is currently being carved out of Egyptian marble in Italy by machinery using a 3D computer model. The replica is estimated to be completed in April 2016, and it is to be displayed in Trafalgar Square, London, and later in New York City. It is to be sent to Syria afterwards.

[link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)]

Rome links its' triumph to Baal.

When the IDA revealed last December that it was intending to use its data and expertise to build not one but two replica Palmyra arches – to be unveiled simultaneously in Trafalgar Square in London and Times Square in New York – it generated headlines across the world.

Since then there has been some backtracking on the original idea. There will be no simultaneous unveiling in New York – they may transport the London arch there later, or build another one – and the Palmyra arch that is being reconstructed is no longer the entrance to the Temple of Bel (which survived an attempt to blow it up in August 2015) but the Arch of Triumph (partially destroyed in October) formerly located at one end of the Great Colonnade.

Hmm, perhaps if it does not activate a portal in London they will move it to New York and check the energy levels there. I just can't see why they are so adamant about setting these things up other than some nefarious gateway. There may be a few jaws dropping at the ceremony when it isn't santy clause that rips through the oily sheen of the portal....

That's inevitable, Godzilla. Look how long the stalemate of the armistice has been in place and ask yourself, "how much longer can this be maintained? How much longer can a people remain literally, divided by ideological insanity?"

We witnessed the Fall of the Wall in the 90's. The impact of that was terrible economically. No military actions were taken, but not all splits between a country will be resolved so peacefully as it was in Germany.

Korea is a literal powderkeg ready to go and the party will involve many powers in that region. It will spread like a contagion. China will make their move against Japan, Taiwan, the U.S. and minor Asian nations that live under direct threat of ChiCom aggression. To me, it's rendered academic. It simply boils down to how many hands the powers in that region can play and how will bluff, fold, or take the initiative.

Either way. Kim Jong Un is a marked man as is his regime of leaders.

that is true Jazzy.
but... really, the job of the Jew in these days is to be a light, meaning we are to argue against Christianity so the world would come to real understanding of G-d and scriptures, and through this destroy the roman empire (which created Christianity) thus freeing the slaves, Egypt 2.0 but with the whole world - salvation, real salvation not some magical blood you can only know if it works after you die.

but I understand this thread is not the place.

I highly recommend everyman's Talmud: The Major Teachings of the Rabbinic Sages. Sold on Amazon for about 18 USD. What many don't know is that Yahushua , sometimes brought down , what the sages and Rabbi's had been teaching. For instance , Hillel said ' that which you hate don't do to others.' Does that sound familiar ?

Another , all Torah can be hung on Love Thy Neighbor .'

hilel is older than jesus.

you have a saying
ot = nt concealed
nt = ot revealed

which is nonsense really.

here is the real saying.

what is good in the NT is not new, what is new is not good.

when I read the NT I am like... gentiles are really excited because of that?? come on, they guy ripped off rabbinic teachings, and gave you the most basic ones.

you know my position.

jesus is not the messiah.

ww3 will prove this.

No. Our duty is not to argue AGAINST anything.

We are not to condemn the heathen for his ways nor the beliefs of those who see differently.

We are to share Torah with those that HaShem would bring TO US, for HE alone dictates their steps.

To do otherwise is to seek to choose our own way.

Not by preaching against another.

one small aspect of living Judaism is rejecting that which is not true.

Christians are attracted to this, rising against us trying to judge us.

We condemn them and prove them wrong.

that is the light, and it hurts their eyes because they are used to darkness.

I told you once, we are not here to argue.

I do not see the christian jesus but I do see Moshiach Y'shua.

How is it logical for you to argue against what you have not been permitted to see?

If you do not see as we do, that is your walk. But you will not argue the walks of others on this thread.

You would do better to study upon the hate within your own heart before you condemn others for their own.

Two wrongs do not make a right.

for me

the start of the journey is to see one's self

our shallow self can see others much better than one's self

just a simple question - what does your judgment of another

mean - what merit ?

It's the same age old problem that has existed from the beginning Ice.

Man isn't content to be caretaker of Torah.

He claims it as his own and uses his defiled version of it to be master over others, while excusing himself from the same scrutiny.

He brandishes it as a weapon of death rather than cherishing it as the Covenant of Life.

I agree

much of the truth I am missing but I am aware of that

I know as this voice shares with me I will see more clearly

as pure love has a way with moving the soul

hate greed and the lust of the heart drives the flesh

yet the very spirit of the source of the I am that I am

speaks to man -

Man isn't content- no man will never find peace and I am an

example of that - I rounded the globe for nothing - when I

say no man will ever find peace is man seeking peace on

his or her's own terms - we have little to do with it

I found peace at my door - peace is the sound of nothing

I can't share all that I am seeing but death at this moment

is foreign to me - that which speaks to me is not of this

realm and that of this realm means little to me

I will enjoy my time and love my wife and family - in fact

I have found Love to be the best weapon I have ever welded

and amazing thing happened today which helped me see and

understand - He that speaks and moves has allowed me for

the first time understand creation - I now know all is

connected and He needs little to feel the connection of it all

I am sorry for rambling - I think that Yahshua will make a

good Jew out of me
