McConnell 'optimistic' convention goes to a second ballot

WASHINGTON — Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says he is "increasingly optimistic" that voting at the Republican National Convention in July will go to a second ballot, seeming to suggest he does not want to see Donald Trump become the nominee.

Russia Sees No Chance of Repairing Relations with Erdoğan

Relations between Russia and Turkey cannot be restored, Russian foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told a news conference on Tuesday. “As far as Turkish officials are concerned, there are no prospects [for current diplomatic ties],” she said. “Those people did what they did. As we now perfectly understand, it was their conscious choice. As for relations between countries and peoples, they will be developing.”...

Very well said, sad in a way. Last summer the gut wrenching reality, while watching my two boys play baseball and daughter play t ball , that this season would probably be the last one of complete normalcy. Personally , I thank HaShem for the clean water I drink and cook with , the clean, hot water I bathe in, and the overall abundance of food. By abundance I mean not only of choices , but of quantity and quality.

I know soon , those above blessings , will be taken from many.

All these people, prepping and storing up years worth of food.

Why? The only time it would be of any good to anyone is if they are confined to where the food is stored.

Flood: Not gonna help unless it's airtight and it/they don't get washed away.

Fire: Not gonna help unless it's buried deep.

Earthquake: Not gonna help if it's swallowed into the ground or pancaked under buildings.

Nuclear blast...goes without sayin.

They don't stop to think that during a disaster the goober is going to confiscate everything useful down to their shoes.

And what if they have to evac, especially on foot? Are they gonna carry it all with them?

I'm not saying not to prepare but what ever happened to trusting in HaShem to provide?

Sorry...just needed to get that out...rant over.

Another way to look at it is this. Joseph interpreted Pharaoh's dream and prepped for the seven years of famine.
Also in Acts 11:28-30 is another example of prepping for a foretold food shortage.
It's my belief that He gives us the brains to understand the warnings and to prepare ourselves and take care of our family the best we can until whatever comes, comes.
It's not like not trusting Him, more like it's trusting His word that these things will come to pass.
Also living in hurricane country we always have preps. They sure come in handy when the storm strikes.
Just my two cents.
