Wow! I have been talking to Jazzy in PMs. At some point I said I was going to take a nap but actually could not.
This is what I sent to her then she told me to check the thread.

I couldn't sleep well, I kept realizing how quiet everything was, dogs not barking and staying close to my husband, no birds that chatter at our outdoor feeder all day, our indoor birds not chirping just all hunched together on their perch, and the cat is hiding in the basement. I walked out into the living room and my husband said its been dead quiet which is abnormal for this time of year in our neck of the woods. Yep I woke up because its too quiet lol.

It also is now very dark, street lights are on although the drizzling has stopped. There are zero sounds from the dense forest near us. No deer, no raccoons wandering around. I literally just got out of bed and read my PM from her, then read hers about this thread, and here I am.

It's simple. A very grave and ominous threat that's not so easily perceived by human senses has suddenly popped up on our furry friends radar bigtime. They actually see the "incoming". Hence, their strange behavior. All animals are humanity's living first alert systems.

Something's about to go down and come heavy. That's my opinion on the matter.

'Homemade' bomb that sounded 'like a cannon' blows off student's foot in Central Park

A college student stepped on a “homemade” bomb in Central Park Sunday, blowing off his left foot, authorities said.

Connor Golden, 18, of Fairfax, Va. had just climbed down off of a rock near E. 60th St. and Fifth Ave. around 11 a.m. when the blast went off.

The explosive appeared to have been in the area more than a day, according to Lt. Mark Torre, the commanding officer of the NYPD’s Bomb Squad said. He ruled out authorities’ initial suspicion of a self-inflicted fireworks mishap.

So The police our calling it a "Homemade Bomb"

I agree, so let me add one more. I am currently camping in Sedona. Talking with the nice couple parked in the lot next to us last night and their little dog is shaking like crazy. I asked if the dog was ok, she tells me she is not sure what is going on. That they lived in Chile last year and the dog started shaking like this right before the 8.4 earthquake hit, but has not done it since. Then they spoke about being in the earthquake. I totally forgot about it until I'm reading the other reports on here about animal behavior. They are out hiking right now, but I'm gonna check on the dog when they get back.

House Plans Vote on Guns Next Week

The House will vote on a counterterrorism package that will include a provision to prevent suspected terrorists from buying guns, Speaker Paul D. Ryan told Republicans on a conference call Thursday, according to a source on the call.

The House, when it returns next week from its July Fourth recess, will also vote on a mental health bill , sponsored by Pennsylvania GOP Rep. Tim Murphy, Ryan told his House colleagues.

Republicans believe terrorism and mental illness have been leading causes of most mass shootings.

Anything happening with the New Madrid?

I wished you had not mentioned that ... I just ran across an old, 2009, disaster communications plan for the New Madrid that I developed. I have not seen it since 2012, but it just sort of 'appeared' on an Internet search ... Hmm.

To know where your heart is, look where your mind goes when it wanders.

A rock in bad hands killed Abel. A rock in good hands killed Goliath. It isn't about the rock.

A true warrior fights not because he hates the one in front of him, but because he loves those behind him.
