Normally means things will either get really interesting, or it's about to fizzle out.

Given the civilian casualties typical prompts a major response by Israel. Given the tank line up being reported, there is a strong chance of something major.

My take...
This is a strong reason to believe that a ground incursion into Gaza to target, arrest, or otherwise neutralize factions in Gaza. Depending on the actions of the PLA, Hamas, and other factions could result in a push to the sea and resettlement of all civilians in the West Bank. This would reduce the risk posed in the long run but could also cause WB to openly declare war, a war they would lose and a lose of their land.

The big question is whether Hamas will throw its full weight behind Islamic Jihad in fighting the IDF. The truth is Hamas may not be crying about the IDF taking out Bahaa abu al-ata as he has forced multiple escalations over the last year+ which Hamas did not want
