Survey suggests strong popular support for ‘Jew-free’ Romania

Nearly a quarter of Romanian respondents on a survey on Jews said their country should have no Jewish residents.

The results of the survey among 1,000 Romanian adults were published last week by the Elie Wiesel National Institute for Holocaust Studies in Romania, which commissioned the Center for Opinion and Market Studies to conduct the poll in June.

State Dept. 'Doesn't Need to See' Covert Iran Side Deals

US State Department spokesperson Mark Toner said on Tuesday that the State Department doesn't mind that it is barred from seeing the classified side deals made between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), which can only be seen by those two parties.

Iran has demanded the side deals be kept secret from the US in a demand the IAEA and Obama administration have willingly complied with, not letting Congressional review be privy to the secret deals. Significantly, they stipulate that Iran will inspect its own covert nuclear sites where nuclear detonator testing has occurred, with international inspectors forbidden from visiting.

Iran deal is as ‘pro-Israel’ as it gets, Kerry says

Secretary of state says that Congress would cause great diplomatic damage if it were to block nuclear agreement.

US Secretary of State John Kerry said that the proposed nuclear deal with Iran is as “pro-Israel” as it gets, and that should Congress block the agreement it would only reaffirm the Iranian leadership’s mistrust of America.

In an interview with Jeffrey Goldberg published in The Atlantic on Wednesday, Kerry also expressed doubt that Iran really wants to annihilate the Jewish state.

Kerry says sinking of Iran deal would be 'ultimate screwing of ayatollah'

US Secretary of State John Kerry told The Atlantic on Wednesday that if Congress were to shoot down the Iran nuclear agreement, it would be "the ultimate screwing" of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

The secretary rejected Israel's criticism of the nuclear agreement, saying that the deal "is as pro-Israel" as it gets.

Israel assures Abbas it isn’t talking truce with Hamas

Israel has sent a message to the Palestinian Authority with a reassurance that it isn’t holding negotiations of any kind with the Islamist Hamas movement for a long-term ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, Palestinian sources told The Times of Israel on Wednesday.

The message came amid suspicions in the PA that representatives of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government have been negotiating with Hamas over the terms of a five-year truce in the wake of last summer’s brutal war in the Strip.

US senator: A military strike could send Iran ‘back to day zero’

Republican Tom Cotton, a prominent opponent of the nuclear deal, tells Israeli reporters US must maintain ‘credible threat of force’

WASHINGTON — It’s important to maintain the threat of a military strike against Iran’s nuclear facilities, a US Senator told Israeli reporters Tuesday, arguing that it is indeed possible to set back Tehran’s nuclear program.

“We can set them back to day zero. There is no doubt that the United States has the capability to do that,” said Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR), a prominent opponent of the nuclear deal the US and five world powers signed with Iran last month.

Obama Warns US Jews ‘Israel Will Bear the Brunt’ If Nuke Deal Nixed

President Barack Obama warned American Jewish leaders Tuesday if the U.S. nuclear deal with Iran is shot down, Israel eventually will pay the price in rocket fire on Tel Aviv.

Obama and Vice President Joe Biden met in the White House Cabinet Room with 20 Jewish leaders several hours after an Internet address to North American Jewish leaders by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.

This is what I been seeing concerning Syria the past couple of days. Russia,America,Iran, Saudi and Syria have sat down for the past 2 days discussing a political solution for Syria.

What they have come up with is this, Assad will step down after a new national election where he won't be a candidate. These elections will not be till around October the earliest. Assad will be able to stay in power during the transition period and until the new president gets settled in.

These talks are still ongoing and nothing is set in stone yet but it's clear to see America told Iran as part of these nuke talks with them that Assad has to step down. It seems Russia and Iran have agreed to that.

This also adds a new dimension as to why Obama wants this nuke deal to pass. Stay tuned as these developments continue.

Ruins of Great Synagogue of Vilnius discovered

Seven decades after its destruction by the Nazis, researchers locate remains of what was once the beating heart of Lithuania's Jewish community, which was virtually wiped out in the Holocaust.

The elaborate structure was built in the 17th century; at its center was a large space used to study Torah and celebrate community events. It was known as the beating heart of Lithuanian Judaism.

The complex housed another 12 synagogues, religious schools – including that of the Vilna Gaon – ritual baths, the Jewish community council building, kosher meat vendors, and the famed Strashun Library.

In June 1941, the city of Vilnius was overrun by the German military, which ransacked the complex and burned it. Over three years of Nazi occupation, the vast majority of the city's Jewish population was murdered. Upon the Red Army's return in 1944, a modern school was built on top of the synagogue's ruins.

Yep. Gold is only found by digging dirt.
To know where your heart is, look where your mind goes when it wanders.

A rock in bad hands killed Abel. A rock in good hands killed Goliath. It isn't about the rock.

A true warrior fights not because he hates the one in front of him, but because he loves those behind him.

Anybody else feeling like there's an increased agitation and aggressive vibe in the world today?

Iran: Sanctions regime has collapsed, never to return

The structure of sanctions is ‘destroyed,’ foreign minister Zarif says in Tehran speech, and ‘no one’ will accept its revival

The international sanctions regime against Iran has collapsed and will never be restored, Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said.

“The structure of the sanctions that the US had built based on the UN Security Council’s resolutions was destroyed,” Zarif told a meeting of Iran’s Strategic Council on Foreign Relations in Tehran on Monday, according to the semi-state Fars news agency. “And like the 1990s, when no other country complied with the US sanctions against Iran, no one will accept the return of the sanctions (in the future).”

There goes O's snap back sanctions plan. Like it would have ever worked!

A word of caution to neophyte Martini drinkers: When taken to excess, this perfectly civilized drink can lead directly to uncivilized behavior.

ikr!

It's like somebody opened a seething bucket of bile and the fumes are smothering any semblance of compassion or love that might exist in people.
