Most welcome! hf

Ok, second question--Jazzy said yesterday that things might escalate after prayers, which appear to be over. I'm not seeing the level of escalation I personally expected. Is this because security is excellent? Or will it kick off overnight?

I'm learning and new to this thread and I really am enjoying all I've read here. Thanks so much.
 Quoting: Mycroft3

Hi and welcome to the thread!

The way things were going yesterday and the rhetoric, I was expecting things to go hot after prayers too. The fact that they didn't could be for any number of reasons.

Israeli forces could have been heavier than they expected OR this was just a diversion to something bigger. I honestly don't know.

The one thing I do know is that there most definitely IS something much bigger coming. Keep your eyes open through Tuesday especially.
 Quoting: JazzyG

Thanks, Jazzy, you are most gracious.

Waiting and watching I imagine is very stressful for people there.

Muslim Brotherhood protesters were accused by Egypt's Foreign Ministry of attacking members of the media delegation accompanying President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in New York. Sisi arrived in the U.S. last week to head Egypt's delegation in the 70th UN General Assembly session. He returned to Cairo today.

Re: The World at War
As Syria hemorrhages - Why has there been no mass flow of refugees to the Gulf?

"The humanitarian responses, or lack thereof, of neighboring Arab states, particularly the wealthy Gulf Arab countries, and of Turkey, as well, have drawn the attention of commentators and analysts and blame is being apportioned accordingly. Some analysts in the region have gone even further in their critiques, viewing the entire horrific episode as a reflection of the bankruptcy of Arab and Muslim societies."

[link to www.jpost.com]

It could be because of this:

The six wealthy Gulf countries - Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Bahrain - have offered to receive exactly zero Syrian refugees.

It could of course be because these countries are already islamized.

Other high-income countries, including Russia, Japan, Singapore and South Korea have also offered to receive exactly zero percent of the Syrian refugees.

US, allies short on options as Russia and Iran flex muscle in Syria

BEIRUT - Across the Middle East, America's traditional allies are watching with disbelief as Russia and Iran mount a show of force in Syria, and they are wondering how it will end.

The US-led coalition, created to combat the jihadi threat from Islamic State in Syria and Iraq, has been wrong footed by the Russian jets pounding the rebels fighting Syrian President Bashar Assad, and by an influx of Iranian forces.

The question on everyone's mind is: will the United States and its European and regional Sunni allies intervene to stop President Vladimir Putin from reversing the gains made by mainstream Syrian rebels after more than four years of war?

Benjamin is a war criminal and should face trial for his heinous ethnic cleansing of menew women and CHILDREN first his crimes against humanity. Along with Tony and George. Why is it so that the few carry out acts on behalf of the many, when in fact the many don't agree? It's all smoke and mirrors. If we are being led to believe it's WW3 then the truth is likely even more disturbing.

We have a big old double standard going on here. It's ok for the US to target a hospital because terrorists are hiding there, but when Israel does it they are called everything from mass murderers to the spawn of Satan. Sheesh!
