Re: The World at War
EVERYONE seems on edge. It has gone from bickering to name calling and cussing.

Ran up to the grocery store to pick up a few things. I didn't notice anyone that seemed to be stocking up, in fact most only had a handful of things.
Both stores were mostly elderly and/or disabled shoppers. Everyone WAS on edge. Very short tempered. Customers arguing with each other, cashiers arguing with each other and the customers. Very unusual.

I've been sitting here since I got back (about an hour and a half) reading through different threads. Same thing. Bickering, arguing, name calling, cussing.

Now to the point: I can sort of understand the people on here being stressed and short tempered, they know whats happening but if all these average everyday people out in the real world are already running around with a short fuse I hate to think what they will be like when the s**t really hits the fan.

They have been jerking people around with the economy, jobs, new laws and regulations, bombings, media campaigns, school shootings, race riots, gun grabbing, the obvious goober excesses, wars where we don't belong, slights to our allies, arming known terrorists, taking over peoples children, gay rights being forced into schools...and on and on and on.

I grew up hearing terrible stories from my Grandparents.

It was once so bad in Turkey, my Grandmother refused to speak Armenian, because they would kill you..so she always spoke in Russian.. even after my family moved to USA.

Obama is just as evil as Erdogan for his material support and his cooperation with Turkeys decision to commit genocide, once again, except this time on Kurds.

Only a matter of time IMO before Turkey backs up Azers and begins to target Armenians once again.

I grew up with lots of Armenian kids whose relatives were telling the stories and I agree with you 100% on Turkey and Armenia. No doubt they would love to have a go at the Armenians again. I also agree that backing Turkey is just embarrassing. hf

Agreed. Turkey is Russia's natural companion (I won't go so far as to say ally), their protests notwithstanding. And their connection to the rest of the ME is obvious. The got into NATO to provide scope for Western powers to set up shop there and secure the Bosphorus if need be. It was about preventing Russia restablishing itself in the Med - which failed of course.

Father of Palestinian Stabbing Attack Perpetrator in Jerusalem: ‘I Am Proud of My Son and What He Did’

The father of a 19-year-old Palestinian man who went on a stabbing and shooting spree in Jerusalem on Friday said he was “proud” of what his son did, apparently under the pretense of religiosity, the International Business Times reported on Thursday.

“I am proud of my son and what he did − he has done what 1.5 million Muslims have failed to do,” said Shafiq Halabi, who’s son, Muhannad, was shot dead by Israeli police last Saturday, after he fatally stabbed two ultra-Orthodox Jewish men — off-duty soldier Aharon Bennett (21) and settler activist Rabbi Nahamia Lavi (41) — as well as wounding Bennett’s wife (22) and two-year-old son.

The arms black market going to terrorists is mostly out of Turkey. They're fake allies. Do you really think Turkey is going to stand up against the Caspian Sea fleet, the Black Sea fleet, and its supplier of oil, when said supplier is allied with the entire Muslim world and all Erdogan's power comes from his endorsement by the anti-West Muslim clerics the people blindly follow?

You misunderstand me friend. Russia and Turkey are ancient enemies. Turkey has actively worked to destabilize the former Soviet republics in most of Central Asia by sending money for mosques and Salafist teachers to these very loosely Islamic places.

Moscow does not like this. But the enmity goes much deeper. When I say they should be allies, I mean in a world without history, for if they could tolerate each other, they would rule a great deal of Asia.

That's easy. They weren't thinking. Someone or a group thereof figured that if on Muslim nation could be brought into the fold of NATO, the others would be more manageable through Turkish influence (just spitting balls here on this), and they learned the hard way that it's not the way they wanted it. Now, there's a NATO ally that's into beheadings. Who would've thought, right? Riiight... Dumbasses the lot of them. Erdogan is a fully functional genocidal maniac that needs to be put down. The Christian Armenians haven't forgotten. The world tries too, but the truth always comes out in spades.
