And they didn't even bring Carter down. The American people did largely because he was so weak on Iran. Then, as soon as the new guy got inaugurated, they couldn't send our hostages home fast enough.

They freed them the day Reagan was inaugurated, IIRC.

I miss him also and we sure need him now, if for no other reason Iran would be very careful about any escalation for fear of getting much more than a bloody nose!

My guess is that any attacks will be limited to IRGC positions in Iraq and Syria, as has been ongoing. Highly doubtful that anything within Iran itself would be targeted at this stage.

Question : are they going to obliterate all IRGC positions in Iraq or/and Syria or just send few bombs over some positions (for public opinion, showing that they are doing something).

Hard to guess, especially with Israel having no declared leader at this point. They've been heading up many/most of those offensives.

I like orange man for the most part and I voted for him over hag bag of course but I think he needs to actually do something to be respected instead of more "fire and fury" bs. Not hitting Iran directly because they would spiral out of control quickly. Massive air strikes in Syria and Iraq or IRGC maybe. Give them a bloody nose.

There’s no point since Israel is already bombing them in Syria and Iraq. Iran will only get the message if we strike them directly.

Iran has to calculate that if they do follow through with their threats to retaliate with a full-scale war they would get utterly destroyed. Do they really want that? Trump should call their bluff.

It's difficult to know whether Iran is bluffing or not about striking back. Part of me thinks they are because they must know they would be obliterated. The other part of me says the mullahs are crazy as hell and they want to bring back their prophet or something. The problem with fury and furry is that's a good move... that should only be played once. NK bought into it but Iran knows now that's how Trump operates. I guess we'll see what happens. I really don't have any idea how this will play out.
