When the body dies the brain dies when the brain dies the mind dies. I know this for a fact. Been there done that. Until you can raise your conscious awareness high enough to be able to look past your mind to your own consciousness you will be trapped in the Matrix or the reincarnation cycle until you do or this reality ends.

Reality does not lie in the mind. Reality lies in the consciousness of one's being. That is what goes on after the body dies.

"Awareness is to consciousness as is the mind to the brain."

Ego, Id and Super Ego. Consciousness, Awareness and Conscious awareness.

You know nothing more about the after life then a freshly conceived embryo knows about their world to come.

You just haven't had the time to figure out the next place. Do not expect to be "conceived" with full functionality.

This is great! The original Notes thread at Thread: Notes from an "alternate universe". Introduction to a new way of thinking. got a bs-flag response on page 2.

We picked up one on page 4. Time to celebrate!

Re: The Guide to Unlocking Your Subconscious Mind and Understanding Reality (The Book of Secrets)
OP, thanks for everything.

I have read many books dealing with life and our existence on a quantum level and learning to understand our world from a new perspective. It ain't easy for us, as I am sure you understand. I think the joy in the quest itself is the building of a foundation for understanding.

I wish with all my soul that there was a way for us to 'get it' once and for all. Maybe that is "pie in the sky" thinking, but I can't help it--that IS the way I think. So many books promise the perfect 'technique' or 'system' or "method' to gain full understanding to knowledge that will help us escalate our lives to a higher more conscious level, and they often leave the reader (learner) feeling empty without power to get past their own iniquities.

I downloaded your kindle edition (thanks again for the link) and will continue on my quest. Any further works that you provide in that same medium (Kindle) I will add to my collection as well.

Keep em' coming till we 'get it".
 Quoting: CrimsonBleu

The next book, due out in a few weeks, is an epic tale about a young boy on a distant planet undergoing the traditional "Trial by Density" of his world, which he finds out will take him to Earth.

He is in love with a girl who is the daughter of one of the wealthiest families in their quadrant of the galaxy. He won't see her for another year (or 21 years Earth time) but hopes to come back with enough riches that her family will accept him, and his own family would no longer just be poor.

Although he manages to learn how to adapt to his new environment, every year that goes by on Earth he forgets part of himself until, during the last years of his life, he remembers almost nothing about his true home and his place in the universe. Much like we do as babies as we transition to adults.

The story parallels our own growth and development and our journey to find balance in our lives, find our path, navigate through the complexities of human life, and the discovering the nature of reality.

I hope that people will find out how the important parts of "The Secret of Everything" can be applied to life in general, in love and relationships, in work or business, with friendship, and with oneself.

Re: The Guide to Unlocking Your Subconscious Mind and Understanding Reality (The Book of Secrets)
I had never considered the idea that life was a simulation until I was 17 and ate acid. I had the classic entheogenic experience. I understood in my trip that the "world" was only a feature of my consciousness. I, the top=of=her-class-soon-to-be-master-of-the-universe, was just the same as my buddies who couldn't compete with me on some levels. and the friends tripping with me didn't get it. I even saw imagery I had no familiarity with that I now know people associate with spirituality. As a kid, I always thought I'd love drugs, but that experience kept me away. So it was good in that way.

I thought everything I saw in that acid trip sucked. I had a mild freakout. But it led me to an existential crisis that lasted for years. I was never sure whether I was experiencing something I could call "reality" or not. I never told a soul.

I buried myself in the material for years with reasonable success, all the while feeding and filling my head with all the information and experience about the world around me I could. In my early 40's I had a spiritual awakening, classical Jungian stuff, but I had to piece it together myself, bit by bit. I simply am incapable of accepting dogma. I have to reinvent my own wheel.

As an adult, I have reluctantly come to the "simulation" conclusion. I also am well aware that I could be totally off base, living in a cocoon of perspective. But as a model, it works for me. Why I say it works for me:

From this perspective I have found dynamic happiness. It doesn't have to work for anyone else. I am a unique position.

 Quoting: Anonymous coward 48324145

Interesting. And you're right, your model doesn't need to work for anyone else. The proof is in the pudding, and you've got the pudding all to yourself!

I happened to model out "drugs" using a SPIR, as several on the other threads had asked about it, and what I came up with was that the experience is the geometry of the drug itself.

Eating certain foods can change personality and behaviour, also drugs to the body, and so can more powerful drugs to a larger degree because they are less compatible with the other consciousnesses already found in our cells and microbes.

Looking at the different molecules of some of the drugs it is interesting to think that their geometry is what is being experienced. Same geometry, same type of experience.

DMT users, for example, all report having pretty much the same experience. There are a wide variety of explanations for this but it could be that the same change to perspective is being experienced directly.

If we think that the world is "real" because everyone else reports the same experience, it probably doesn't mean it is. No more than the street we can all walk on is "real".

For me, the conclusion HAD to encompass such a traumatic experience, right? So that negates its evidentiary effect for others in some way.

And beyond the simulation, or video game experience, I got a deep perception of abiding energy and a good feeling. It was only when I understood I was alone that it became unpleasant.

Somehow, we must also be existing in the mind of the angry god, and it's no different from the video game. So fuck it, I'm gonna love and work and read and whatever I feel like, keeping in mind I want to sustain this experience for a long time because I am having a blast.

join the club. That was, by far, the worst experience I ever had and an "aha!" moment for me.

We seem to create a seemingly endless amount of stories, through pattern-making, to avoid this feeling of emptiness.

Yeah, the illusion becomes more real than the "truth", which probably can't be experienced anyway (or feels like something exceedingly empty)

Like many of our best memories, the illusion is definitely better than the real thing.

Glad I met/invented you. Because the most convincing thing about my life is that the world couldn't be this way if I didn't invent it.

I raised myself on novels. Good ones. I swear, everything about me says "the special", the heroine of the story, but I can't imagine doing anything special enough to live up to the gifts Iv'e been given. I assume everyone must have a degree of that inside them. But if I hadn't raised myself on novels, would I be such a perfect cliche of potential?

The biggest perspective shift in recent years: I consciously stopped asking "what's wrong with this picture?"

Surely, when one cannot contain the entirety of oneself in one's own body and self, it explodes into the reality that we experience then implodes again as we perceive it.

VonAmoR you would be very very wrong about "knowing nothing of the after life". I spent 18 hours in a coma without "any detectable brain wave activity" and my heart was not working on it's own. My body was devoid of any electrical energy. At that point I was taken off life support. When the nurse took out the tubes I took one deep breath and five minutes later I was ready to go home. I have no ill effects from being dead.

Re: The Guide to Unlocking Your Subconscious Mind and Understanding Reality (The Book of Secrets)
I don’t consciously try to make a SPIR. I just make a point of orienting myself as best as I can within one as often as I can. I think of the images, the toroids. I notice my position at the center and do my best to assess the forces that hold that position, weighing relative uncertainties of outcomes of my next perspectival shift based on observed patterns of cause and effect. I have spent years accumulating data, tools and skills and the toroid perspective works for me to access them. Sometimes it’s like dominoes falling. Sometimes it’s just a feeling in my gut-brain. Sometime my mind explodes. I try to go with the flow, somehow, nudging it rather than fighting it like I used to.

I am wrong all of the time, but right all of the time too and it doesn’t matter. I am neither special nor ordinary - they are the same thing, like my 10-year old’s fascination with horror and Nazis is the same thing as his snuggliness and frequent “I love you, Mom.”

Nothing is impossible. The perspective work has helped me accomplish or sacrifice things that had been holding me back. I’m trying not to focus too much on others’ cause-and-effect chains but sometimes can’t help it. I only want to a. affect my loved ones and community in a way that feels good for us; b. cause relatively little damage to others; and c. love and learn some more - I have a matrix to light up, whatever the heck that means. The Great Genius helps.

I love GLP because it’s a microcosmic hive-mind.:)

I am still awkward at internet forums. This gives me the willies to be this open.
 Quoting: anonymous pie 48324145

(Apologies for having taken a while to respond. I've been writing the next book, which should be finished in a couple of weeks.)

It sounds like you have had an intuitive grasp of the process already, without the book's help. Awesome.

But others’ cause-and-effect chains are also your own. They just look different. It doesn't mean that they're "solid" but it's one of the many ways to interpret who you are.

It sounds like you're well on your way to realizing who and what you are. And your son will have an even greater understanding, thanks to you :)
 Quoting: Chaon

This week I've been experimenting with moving beyond "just" seeking my own happiness using the book's perspective-building tools. I know change must happen, so I try to guide it using baby steps from my relative position. Because chaos is the natural order of things, I my energy is best served working from one relative perspectival position to the next, considering a SPIR at the next turn.

Using the pictures in my mind works as well as creating the labeled analysis.

The Result: I've been unusually potent this week in my personal and professional life, building solid foundations with limitless potential from the authentic relationships and tools I already have. I have to be conscious of not overreaching, and the perspectival analysis helps.

Also: I love baseball. I love my family. I have never enjoyed little league more than watching it using perspective used from this book. In other words, the tools in this book help me find life endlessly entertaining.

If you've already read the book, please feel free to let others find it, too, by rating it here or leaving a short review:

Much appreciated!

I tried to, but you will not be surprised to find there are GLPers who don't have Amazon accounts for various reasons. I just don't shop anywhere but thrift shops and bookstores. My husband does the shopping because he likes it. I even decided to make an account for you, but then since I haven't bought anything they won't let me review . . ..

I personally recommended your book to the smartest, most able and open people I know today. I'll see if I can muster up participating in e-commerce . . ..

Re: The Guide to Unlocking Your Subconscious Mind and Understanding Reality (The Book of Secrets)

Chaol was big on on us figuring things out for ourselves, so I thought I would provide one "big picture view" and give hints on how it could be applied locally, to our lives.

It's good you're finding out what works for you, and have been for a while.

Hope you continue your unusual potency :)

Thanks! And please note that in less than 4 hours it will no longer be free on Amazon. (Amazon doesn't allow free ebooks for more than a few days.)

However, you can check out the Mindcraft link.
