Inmate beating on FB before guards knew

here to serve ourselves and protect our own interests

surely you don't think being locked in a cage is punishment enough or you can't possibly expect safety for anyone while they are under our expert vigilance, after all we do such a fine job in public it's infinitely harder to control people when you have them tightly sequestered and monitored in a controlled environment

There is nothing more obscene than a Judge with a stake in a private prison, sentencing people to go to said prison.

I love how NBC blurred the faces of the assailants, to protect 'their' privacy. Wouldn't want to infringe on the rights of savages.

Grind them up into mulch, replace them with non-animals.

Shut the prisons down, instant mulch penalty. No needle. No chair. No gas. Just mulch.

Why would we allow gangs and criminal enterprises to flourish in places that they should be getting punished? Prison gangs??

Here's an idea.....take all of the gangs and round them up. Parade their leaders through the prison and release attack dogs on them. Tie them to stakes in the yard and light them on fire like torches. Take all of the other gang members and lobotomize them. Use them as semi-zombie slave labor until they die. Implant small nano chips in their brain stems that will release frequencies that instantly short circuit their neurons and cause death remotely. Every time they act up, hit the "kill switch" and watch a few drop like flies. If the rest still don't learn their lessons, crucify them along the perimeter of the prison yard and let the others hear their screams day and night.

We need order in this world, not coddling for those who would do evil and thrive under these conditions. We must have order by any means necessary. Maybe regular inmates would be deterred from engaging in this nonsense. The gangs will never learn and never will.

If worse came to worse, the authorities should take the children of these gang leaders and members and hold them as collateral to behave. If they act up, the children are either forced into slave labor in factories or fed to animals in front of them. Feral swine would devour them pretty dramatically. However, if they were small enough, you could feed them to anacondas or perhaps giant pythons. Alligators/crocodiles are also an option.

People who only understand violence and terror must be subjected to it tenfold. We must have order and the people must demand it.

It happens so frequently (abuses of authority) that I can't help but suspect that these situations are staged as govt. fear mongering against itself. It's like threatening you indirectly, should you step out of line...

This is a good indication that America is coming apart, and as a desperate attempt to keep control the govt. media (the mainstream media who in a struggle to remain relevant are forced to air propaganda) are using fear tactics on the general populace.

This is what happens when you lock people up and have prison populations that are 50-100 inmates per 2-4 guards. The guards can't be everywhere at once and unfortunately things like this happen. Add to that the prison system in this country is big business now.

Ok there Vlad, but what about those who want to change their lives and do good?? It happens you know.

He's also in prison for assault and carjacking. I bet the person he beat up and stole their car felt the same way he does now.

Eye for an eye.
Tooth for a tooth.

The guy is who he is .. And this is why prison rehabilitates, probably a small percent of people that go in ..

Lots of people in prison due to bad lawyers or no lawyers or railroading DAs; innocent people.

We have to stop this prison industry, no privatized jail...to easy to corrupt.

Second, time to corral those prison administrators and make them liable for the violence in their prisons.

Gangs need to be broken up and shipped away from each other; and violent offenders need to be segregated.

Why do offenders have cell phones? They can conduct their criminal affairs easily in the cell that way, order a hit on witnesses that way, etc.

It was horrible to show that photo of Cortez; it has an interpretation that will precede him in the prison. He may not make it out alive.

Our prisons are a disgrace.

having been to many 3rd world countries I can say that is complete BS. Nothing at all like 3rd world countries.

Agreed .. Sad and sick and believe a lot o what you say is the truth ..

My brother made some aweful mistakes as a teen and did time between 15-17 .. He was beaten daily .. Everything he would get was just walked in and taken (him victimless crimes) .. Locked up with murderers, gang members, .. It was very sad .. Once a week I would see him because my family disowned him .. And I would leave there crying every time because he was also severely beaten regularly for being weak to them or non confrontational and white.. And god forbid he sought help or .. Well ..

Like this kid, he would have never made it out alive .. And I believe if you don't see him given protection he will not be alive for long ..

.. I am sure that won't even be a problem to th system ..

im sure you all have heard the prison joke but for you who havent here it is.

a young white boy gets sent to prison for the first time. he is assigned to a cell with a big black roommate. the black man says to the boy "dis is yer firs nite. i give you da choice! you can be da husband or you can be da wife"? the young boy says" ill be the husband"! the black guy replies "well come here and suck ya ole ladies dick"! another reason to stay out of prison!

I worked in prison on the acute care psychiatric unit for 2 years and 2 months. It is the most sick environment I have ever been in. Michigan DOC has almost $3 billion budget. The torture and death that goes on in prison is real and very sick. The officers inflict and allow inmates to inflict torture, beatings, killings, stabbings, rapes, etc. This ensures recidivism and job security. It is wayyyyy worse than "Lock Up" shows. I am not of the mind set to "hug a thug". There are many inmates that I have treated who should NEVER get out.
Then there is the poor guy who, at 19 years old had a 15 year old girlfriend and her dad prosecuted him. He was convicted on a CSC (Criminal Sexual Conduct) and because of his crime he thought he needed to get affiliated with a gang for safety. He is not very intelligent, I mean that from a clinical stand point. His IQ was well below average. He came to my unit after he had his throat slit in the yard by a rival gang member, and the officers thought it would be a good idea to put him in a cell with a different rival gang member (sarcasm). He had a full psychotic break, it took me about 6 weeks and high doses of antipsychotic meds to get him talking and thinking logically again. He will now always need mental health treatment. Such a waste of a life.
I personally know of so many more situations that DOC facilitated the destruction of peoples lives.

I doubt it .. I mentioned early very few inmates are rehabilitated as the system suggests .. All this anger, trauma, adapting to the lifestyle .. He will be back .. Saadly, like most ..

Thank you so much for posting here with inside insight .. As a kid for personal reasons I was in an institution here in CT (kind of a system kid) .. When they called doctor red that was means to beat the crap out of a patients, woman included .. Full blown faces to the face.. They left people in body bags for a day to soil themselves .. Sexually abused patients .. I wasn't a really a bad kid just hurt..and knew better, so lucky I didn't endure all of this ..

They murdered an 11 year old boy leaving him in the body bag shortly after I left, closed down .. And is now reopen ..

Pretty sad stuff I have seen first hand ..

A man has contacted me because I spoke out about this to one of the so called caring nurses there who wrote a book of how loving they were to us .. And wants to try a lawsuit for the many people with these stories ..
