Besides that, with larger PVC tubes and end caps you can make very good caches for different "stuff"

The ideas are great but the PVC is so cancerous. I worked at a plastic pellet plant and PVC is so dangerous. It should be outlawed for human use.

Nice! Adding this thread to my favorites.

I made a few trellises with some extra PVC a few years ago... Works great.

I've got a 2 different sizes of PVC cutters already.
[link to www.amazon.com]
They sure make fast work of cutting lengths of pipe.
They just don't cut perfectly square. Need to make a jig.

I have an 11ft long window, on a budget, and was thinking about making a curtain rod from pvc pipe today...lol, and now I see this thread!

Will stores like Home Depot cut pvc to a specific length, does anyone know?

I would think so... But don't expect them to be right on the money. They're not known for their accuracy. lol

Also, and 11 foot run would probably sag in the middle unless you had 1 or more supports to prevent it.

They will cut to length but surely you can find cheaper alternatives than pvc. And a bit more aesthetic.

Bamboo works nearly as well for most of these ideas if you have that in your area. It isn't as sturdy as PVC pipe, but you also can't grow PVC pipes that easily.

Oh, okay. Just thought of it today, but hadn't yet checked into cost.

I figured I'd find a creative way to cover up its utility look.

Thanks for responding, I'll set my sight into another direction...hf

I'd like to know how to thread pvc pipes, especially wider girth pipes a few inches wide. I want to build the H20 to Hydrogen/Oxygen water to gas splitter. Been looking for any pipe ends, lids.. esp: with screw threads. I'd like to get my own die-threader for wider pvc pipes. I got some short waste & water pvc pipes left over from diy jobs. I'd like to get a clear plastic pipe too, but how to 'thread them?'

Thread them just like metal...

Just make sure you buy the correct diameter. Get a thread chart.

It's pretty simple hf

That's some cool projects, but my favorite is the chicken tractor. It's a way to let your chickens get out into the fields to scatch and eat, while they fetilize it for you. PVC pipe makes it light enough to move easily. Between PVC and old pallets, I have enough projects to keep me busy for years.
Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst.
