in the article it says bigger animals live longer. then why are large dogs lifespans shorter than small ones? why does the tortoise outlive the whale? plenty of examples proving this wrong. article even says its all pure apeculation. meaning none of this has any weight. im sure there are very large aliens and also small ones. it also says animals on planets with stronger gravitational pull are likely to be smaller and vice versa. wouldnt they be bigger on a planet with greater gravity? they would need to be stronger to fight the pull to live comfortably and larger allows for more strength.

If the gravity of their home world is stronger then 1 earth "G" then they might need to be stronger and bigger to get around but a stronger but smaller size would be best. If their home world is less then 1 earth "G" then bigger then humans would be best. I think our planet is at the narrower end of "G" spectrum. based on the theory that our star is a adverge "G" type then most potential "homeworlds" that are "out there" would have stronger "Gravity" then this world
