His dire prediction comes at a time when tensions are rising in various geopolitical zones, but the most threatening situation would appear to be that which is developing in Ukraine. How many challenges to White House security has there been in recent months now? Let see, I seem to remember:

-A couple of fence jumpers.
-A barricade crasher.
-A guy got inside the front door with a knife before he was stopped.
-Allegedly drunk secret service agents flying drones across the White House lawn.
-Today's odd power outage.
-Officials using unsecured personal email servers.
-Today's fresh claim of the top executive office of the nation hacked.

Did I miss anything in the past year?

Maybe now would be a good time to review SHTF/WWIII/civil war/Zombie plans and preps.

That's right... I remember that now because they said then that the president's schedule was hacked into. Why are they just now (within a few hours that there is a black out in Washington) coming out that it was Russia?

Thanks my Canadian friend for bringing the TV-miniseries, AMERIKA into the discussion. But you forgot to mention that the film actually begins 10 years after a bloodless takeover of the US by the Russians. The movie depicts underground movements that have sprung up in the previous decade.

This is a really thoughtful miniseries that was only broadcast ONCE in the US, and it still isn't sold commercially here. I bought my DVDs several years ago from an online source in... Canada~!

The movie's pretty talky but grounded in solid characters in plausible situations. Kris Kristopherson [did I spell that right?] was a surprise.

I wouldn't be one bit surprised to see this type of invasion in my lifetime.
