America -Then vs Now. It’s Almost Unbelievable
Good read:

[snip - less than 50%]

Newsweek magazine, on December 27, 1982, in an article entitled, How the Bible Made America, made this revealing
statement, “historians are discovering that the Bible, perhaps even more than the Constitution, is our Founding
document.”

To understand the core values of a nation, one must simply look to the beliefs set forth during its conception, and, in the
case of America, during the transitional years of the American Revolution. Judge for yourself how far we have drifted from
the original intent of early Americans. Consider the following:

Then: If a proposed article for the Constitution was not supported by, or rooted in the Bible, it was not considered. In their
early writings, many of the Founding Fathers quoted or referenced the Bible nearly four times more than any other source.

Now: The Bible is mocked, ridiculed, and discarded.

Then: First introduced in 1766, William Blackstone’s Commentaries on the Laws, served as the legal reference for the
Founders, as well as for many early American lawyers. Blackstone’s commentaries were deeply rooted in biblical principles.
It’s been said that Blackstone was the first to use the phrase, “the laws of nature and of nature’s God.”

Now: “It is unconstitutional for students to see the Ten Commandments since they might read, meditate upon, respect, or
obey them.” Stone v. Graham, 449 U.S. 39 (1980).

Findings of the Courts
A ten year investigation of over 500 founding documents was conducted by the United States Supreme Court and concluded in
a famous ruling in Holy Trinity Church v. United States, dated February 29,1892. In preparing its opinion, the court
found it necessary to survey key historical documents back to the time of Christopher Columbus to get a sense of the
Worldview which guided the formation of the American colonies. After a lengthy description of the many documents,
the court summed up their findings regarding America’s religious and political foundation in the following quote
from two consecutive paragraphs near the end of the verdict:

Thanks for the pin.

Another little snip:

The verdict mentioned the then forty-four state constitutions that referenced the Christian Worldview and mirrored
conclusions reached previously by the Maryland Supreme Court in 1799 and the Pennsylvania Supreme Court in 1824:
"By our form of government the Christian religion is the established religion; and all sects and denominations of
Christians are placed upon equal footing, and they are equally entitled to protection in their religious liberty.”

“No free government now exists in the world, unless where Christianity is acknowledged, and is the religion of thecountry.”

Re: America -Then vs Now. It’s Almost Unbelievable
The Founders drew on the Bible and believed that Christianity was necessary for civil morality in a republican system.

It doesn't follow, however, that they believed Christianity should be imposed through law. The First Amendment is very clear - indeed, is even clearer in its first draft. Government shall make no laws respecting the establishment of religion.

Yes, freedom of religion doesn't mean freedom from religion. No one is arguing that it means that. But it does mean that government will not impose religion through law, including through laws governing public school.

Why is this important? For one reason, a reason that all Christians can accept, it prevents one sect of Christianity from gaining dominance over any others. It's easy for Christians to say that America should make laws based on the Bible against atheists or Muslims. But let's say we do: which Christianity do we use? Baptist? Unitarian? Catholic? "Nondenominational"? Calvinist? Lutheran? Should schools teach that Christ was a human, a god, or both man and God? Should schools teach pre-trib or post-trib? Etc.

Now part of the confusion here arises from the fact that the Bible used to be taught in schools. But the schools in which it was taught were state-run schools. States weren't originally bound to the Constitution, and so if their state constitution permitting teaching the Bible, they could do so. But with the steady imposition of the federal constitution on the states, the first amendment has come to apply within the states. Furthermore, the federalization of schools and required the imposition of the first amendment on state schools. So while state schools could teach the bible previously, they find it increasingly hard to do so now.

The answer is obvious: free up the education system, and then the freedom of atheists like myself is respected (my children won't be forced to learned Christianity at the point of government's gun), and Christians will be free to teach their children whatever brand of Christianity they prefer.

AN ADDRESS DELIVERED AT THE ANNUAL MEETING OF THE MASSACHUSETTS BIBLE SOCIETY IN BOSTON, MAY 28, 1849.

Editor’s Introduction

President Andrew Jackson said on June 8, 1845, that “the Bible is the rock on which our Republic rests.” Early
Americans would almost universally agree that the religious, social, educational, and political life of
America was primarily shaped by the Bible.

Our states were colonized by people who desired to freely worship the God of the Bible; our schools were begun so
that everyone would be able to read and understand the Bible for themselves; our universities were founded to
train ministers who were knowledgeable of the Scriptures; our laws and constitutions were written based on Biblical
ideas; and our founding fathers overwhelmingly had a Biblical worldview.

Most Americans today have not been taught this important truth, even though many still recognize it.

It used to be common knowledge that America’s Biblical foundation produced America’s freedom, justice, and prosperity.
In recent generations America has been shifting from a Biblical foundation to a humanistic foundation, where the
God of the Bible is being replaced by man as god. The result has been the decay of society and loss of liberty.
Noah Webster wrote:

The moral principles and precepts contained in the Scriptures ought to form the basis of all our civil
constitutions and laws. All the miseries and evils which men suffer from vice, crime, ambition, injustice,
oppression, slavery, and war, proceed from their despising or neglecting the precepts contained in the Bible.

The founders never told anyone that the bible was not the basis for the founding documents. They mentioned God often in all their writings. They worked hard to assure the religious freedom for all American. The freedom of religion they wanted was to keep the government out of religion, not to keep religion out of government. They knew that a government without religion would be corrupt. Amazing how they could see the future.
Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst.

AND HERE ARE THE TWO CONSECUTIVE PARAGRAPHS:

“... the case assumes that we are a Christian people, and the morality of the country is deeply ingrafted upon Christianity .... ‘it is also said, and truly, that the Christian religion is a part of the common law of Pennsylvania.’"

“If pass beyond these matters to a view of American life, as expressed by its laws, its business, its customs, and its society, we find everywhere a clear recognition of the same truth. Among other matters note the following: The form of oath universally prevailing, concluding with an appeal to the Almighty; the custom of opening sessions of all deliberative bodies and most conventions with prayer; the prefatory words of all wills, "In the name of God, amen;" the laws respecting the observance of the Sabbath, with the general cessation of all secular business, and the closing of courts, legislatures, and other similar public assemblies on that day; the churches and church organizations which abound in every city, town, and hamlet; the multitude of charitable organizations existing everywhere under Christian auspices; the gigantic missionary associations, with general support, and aiming to establish Christian missions in every quarter of the globe. These and many other matters which might be noticed, add a volume of unofficial declarations to the mass of organic utterances that this is a Christian nation. ...”2 (emphasis added)

And then, another good read: "The Protocols"

And then, another good read: "The Ten Planks of the Communist Party"

And then, a look at how popular opinion is molded by the media corporations, who are all headed by Atheist Satanist
Psychopaths - the A.S.P.

P.S. I have never met a Jew who really believed in God. They believe in themselves. They have no other 'religion'. And I grew up in Bevery Hills, where Jews are 99% of the population. I beg to differ with "evangelical Christians" who have been brainwashed into believing hogwash about a nation which is not God's nation at all, let alone the 'apple of His eye'. The absolute immorality, on every level, that goes on in that country - if you research the facts on the ground - will truly make you want to throw up.
