User ID: 68799931 Canada 04/13/2015 09:14 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Someone on a different thread suggested a prayer thread for Val - so this is it. Quoting: <Peace> He is one of my favourite actors and also an amazing artist and poet who takes time to comment and get involved with his fans on Facebook. This thread is a way of giving to a man who gives a lot to others. He has almost been given a death sentence by the media - but this is not true. It has been said that he is battling throat cancer Val has said that he is well and is glad of our prayers. He is often posting his art, occasional selfies and updates on his health on his Facebook page and he has previously commented that he is so grateful for the prayers and well wishes . it has moved him a lot. As some of you know - Val is a christian scientist . (different from scientology) and part of that belief is that sickness is an illusion. (I am an christian, who believes that we were healed 2000 years ago when Jesus took it for us . and that, although sickness happens - we dont have to accept it.) Whatever our differences - lets pray for Val to continue in his healing. He has already seen a miracle of prayer lets keep it going... I paid for an upgrade so this thread could stay clean and positive. Lets not make this a religious debate - but rather faith filled prayer for the man and positive comments. Great actor! Here's hoping he wins this health battle! |

I read through his IMDB listing and realized I'd seen "Riddle" (2013) "7 Below" (2012) "Twixt" (2011) "Kill the Irishman" (2011) "Bloodworth" (2010) etc, but these were all mostly forgettable films, It's sad, I don't know what happened, just like Nicholas Cage and John Cusack. Was it Hollywood abandoning them or did they lose heart? |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 61933197 It's another term for a pallbearer. Common misconception. Prayers sent. Thanks - I appreciate your comment and I dont doubt you are right re that word and its meaning .. but some of Val's pop doc artwork features the word huckleberry I would not have thought he would get it wrong. Interesting ..I am intrigued now ... I also seem to remember reading somewhere about huckleberry meaning dancing partner or something . . I'm off to do some research Thanks for prayers |

The entire movie is really a theme about how what really matters in the end is the TEAM. "People aren't cargo, mate." -Captain Jack Sparrow "what is essential to the Heart is Invisible to the Eye." |

I've always liked Kurt Russell, but Val stole the show in Tombstone. He did some of the singing in the doors' movie and he had Jim Morrison's movements and expressions down so perfect it was almost like he was possessed by the spirit of Jim. Yes he did steal the show in Tombstone. I've seen it probably 70 times. It's the best movie I have ever seen, really. I've seen enough to know that some of those quotes were a bit off above. But, that's okay, I really do appreciate this thread. I did not see the Morrison portrayal, but I will now. I would be honored to pray for his recovery also. P.S. 'Rumah' has it that he is a great deal Native American. Last Edited by Ms. Superduper on 04/15/2015 04:10 PM Greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world. I wish I could have passed it on to him, sadly it burned along with all that was mine, in a house fire in 2008. I hope those who surround him carry him messages of love equal to this token, and help him on his path to healing. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 68937714 United States 04/15/2015 04:55 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | We're ALL going to die. Eventually. Of something. The ONLY thing that matters in this life, is your relationship with Jesus Christ. WHO IS JESUS? JOHN 1 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. 6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. WHERE IS JESUS NOW? 1 JOHN 5 7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. WHAT DOES GOD THE FATHER SAY ABOUT HIS SON? HEBREWS 1 1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; 3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high: 4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. 5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? 6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him. 7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire. 8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. 9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. 10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: 11 They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; 12 And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail. 13 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool? 14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation? Jesus Christ sits right this very minute, NEXT TO God the Father. He is glorified in Heaven. He is God Almighty, Seek Him before it is eternally too late. |
