I read through Quoting: Anonymous Coward 68899484 his IMDB listing and realized I'd seen "Riddle" (2013) "7 Below" (2012) "Twixt" (2011) "Kill the Irishman" (2011) "Bloodworth" (2010) etc, but these were all mostly forgettable films, It's sad, I don't know what happened, just like Nicholas Cage and John Cusack. Was it Hollywood abandoning them or did they lose heart? I haven't seen any of those . Someone on a different thread suggested a prayer thread for Val - so this is it. This thread is a way of giving to a man who gives a lot to others. He has almost been given a death sentence by the media - but this is not true. It has been said that he is battling throat cancer Val has said that he is well and is glad of our prayers. He is often posting his art, occasional selfies and updates on his health on his Facebook page and he has previously commented that he is so grateful for the prayers and well wishes . it has moved him a lot. As some of you know - Val is a christian scientist . (different from scientology) and part of that belief is that sickness is an illusion. Whatever our differences - lets pray for Val to continue in his healing. He has already seen a miracle of prayer lets keep it going... I paid for an upgrade so this thread could stay clean and positive. Lets not make this a religious debate - but rather faith filled prayer for the man and positive comments. |

I had a dream he was in a particular challenge, it left me intrigued, as dreams often do. I was in a museum photographing some textiles which belonged to him, and he was observing as well as contributing to the compositional elements of the imagery. He looked young and vibrant, but simultaneously weakened by what was a health provocation of some manner. He appeared to be fighting and ultimately prevailing against the affront to his energetic and subtle bodies. He seems to me to be a soul of an extravagant and formidable constitution, quite a presence. I imagine if anyone can banish personal health assaults he is a good candidate. That, and the reality of parenthood which propels us to great feats of inner strength. "La Grande Belleza" to Val and all he endeavors. Rad Italian film I might add.... |
