Why don't white people do yard work for pay anymore?

I have tried for years and gave up. Just about no one has the money to pay! The new normal.

I wonder if they charge cut rate for yard work. At the same time I know my landords pretty well so this puzzles me. You used to see white roofer teams too now all non white.

Where I live people on craigslist charge minimum of $20 hour for housecleaning. A lot want $40 an hour WTF.

Don't need a license.

Notice your pool boy's are all white? Because the owner needs a license.

Tree trimming, yard work, etc - they don't require a license.

Yet then Pedro can fall off the roof and collect Workers Comp. for the rest of his life.

I'd be willing to do some lawn maintenance but all the bastard employers on craigslist want someone with 3 to 20 years experience.

Why would I wanna make a career out of it? More so than that, do you really need experience to mow a lawn? You'd think they can train someone in 10 minutes but apparently not I guess.

Do you guys remember this? They said the reason migrants pick crops is because Americans wont. This all sort of ties into recent posts here about people not being willing to work for food stamps.

We live out in the country, but we rented a home in my father-in-law's neighborhood for awhile when we were remodeling the entire house. There were 2 white guys who came once a week to mow an elderly woman's lawn. There was an apartment complex behind our house and every person I saw taking care of the grounds was white with the exception of one black man.

My lawn care is done by a company of white people. AFAIK, they still do yard work.

Most lawn workers around here are white... in a 'mixed' area. Only the tree trimmers and roofers seem to be mostly Latino.

I know an elderly women who hired 2 white boys in their early 20's and she said they spent most of their time bull shitting with each other and on their phones. Their work was half assed so she sent them packing.
She hired a couple Mexicans who just moved into the neighborhood and said they done an A-1 job w/o all the BS.
Youngsters aint worth a shit these days, bunch of spoiled brats.

Maybe I should have titled this different, but it's sort of a launching point for discussion because of the recent topics. Ie once people have to work for foodstamps they don't want them anymore. And it seems to tie into how all the craigslist people in my town want a kazillion dollars just to do stupid errand work (not rich, disabled) and it turns out that those very people have trouble keeping ANY job so they do that AND PEOPLE PAY THEM apparently. So then I looked up minimum wage in my state and it's $8 something I think so why are all these unemployable craiglist people wanting so much for simple work?

In eastern ohio white people are the only people that do yard work. We dont have alot of blacks willing to put the work in and we don't have alot of immigrants either, so its nearly 100% white work. I think it depends on where you live at op.

Because white people are the ones doing yardwork in their own yards.

They do around here cause it's an economically depressed shithole and whites work for mexican wages, even after the mexicans wised up and skipped out.

How much is your time worth to you? How much would you want to be paid to clean someone's toilet?
