The final showdown...10 days until they shut off my power
If I don't let the Electric Co into my house to install a Smart Meter.

Here's the problem....

1) my son has juvenile diabetes and he is insulin dependent. Studies on smart meters show that the emissions can cause unstable blood sugar and complications in insulin dependent diabetics.

2) My electric meter is located indoors, down in my basement, about 4 ft below my living room couch. The radiation would be released indoors

3) Most of us have read about the 5000 smart meters that blew up due to a power surge, how would anyone allow this kind of a fire risk in their house?

Just so you know, I've already refused them access for the past year. They are able to read my meter from the road, but it's not a Smart Meter. This is the final showdown. 10 days until no power. Any ideas what actions I can take to stop them? Thanks!

Go to court and file a preliminary injunction against them.

So, do you typically let them in on a monthly basis to read the meter as it is?

Build a Faraday shield around it after they install it.
It is an electrically grounded mesh screen. No big deal.

Upgrade your service and move that thing outside like it should be. You are getting the radiation from your neighbors meter as well as all the cell towers so unless you live in a microwave oven what you gonna do? You kid needs power right?
Move the meter.

You may have a point there.

For the record, I think that the intrusive aspects of smart meters are rather troubling, I'm just curious about the other claims that you're making.

Get solar. It's their electricity and their equipment, maybe you can have them mount the meter outside away from the house but it's their shit, you just buy the power from them.

so you also have no wireless phones, no cell phones, no wi-fi and have your house shielded from all external electromagnetic waves? How much did that cost?

They own the meter only. All the equipment from the point of attachment is yours. Panel, riser, breakers. if u/g then usually it connects in the panel. Even though it's sealed, it's yours (with the exception of some co-ops & rea's.

By equipment, I'm talking about the meter, wiring and transformers all the way back to the power plant and the plant itself.

Pay to have the meter moved outside- even to a pole away from the house- like they do before installing a new house or modular.

Go to YouTube.

A guy has a video on how to shield it for $20 or less ofayerials or even sells a kit if you can't do it yourself.

Otherwise get radiant barrier- foil faced bubble wrap stuff and staple to underside of floor joists - reflectix it's called.
