You should have gotten their permission in writing ; with a written agreement the color was ok.

You should have also kept a copy of the reciept when the landlord bought the paint.


If you don't have anyone of these; it is your word against his and

you will most likely lose because you are just a renter.


Lesson learned

Always get stuff like that in writing or dont paint if you are just renting.
