Ok so the property manager(( supper intendant )) told me 2+ yr's ago that if I picked a neutral light colour the walls wouldn't have to be painted when I move ..... so we picked out a very light very neutral colour together and the Supper went out and purchased it for me ... Well I was told today by the owner of the building that it has to all be back to the " builders beige" before I leave @ end of this month... Or he will charge me $1000.00 to have a 800sq feet apt painted Can he do this legally ????? What are my rights ??
Quoting: Chatty-Girl I thought the standard was to bring the walls to white and let the manager/owner worry about specific colors..... last time I went to the paint store, there were about 30 different shades of beige. If you opt to paint yourself, I'd get a few of those sample cards first and let the owner choose and approve and this time get it in writing.
