Appendicitis in three of my immediate family within 4 weeks!!! | |

Collective consciousness is strange. Or it is a virus. I remember a while back lots of women were getting a stomach virus all over. Any chance they were all sick with same bug over the winter? I had a flu last week and felt a little nagging pain in my lower right hand side. Had me worried a couple nights. I told them to take the damn thing out when I had my gall bladder done at 16 and they didn't. |

Blast from the past, I guess... though I go by "Divergent" now....I used to be scarbedazzles, or "Scar" on here. Quoting: Divergent I'm faced with a situation that has me upset and completely confused. My oldest daughter who lives at home got appendicitis one month ago... no biggie, right? Fast forward 3 weeks....daughter #2 living at home, ends up in the ER with the same thing...they removed it also... emergency surgery.... Took a trip to visit family and saw my eldest daughter and grands....a week ago. Oldest grand, a girl, is having her appendix out today now...... huge WTF!!!!! I've tried to research it but it seems unprecedented. Any thoughts??? more fiber and less diet coke ? |

I would research that route. granddaughter is in GEORGIA... we are in OREGON..... no close proximity! NO "power of suggestion"... no dairy problems as we eat very little of it and drink no Milk at all... Fool me once, shame on you.....fool me twice shame on me. |

Quoting: beeches I had mine out in my mid-twenties. Only one in my family. it's strange but we were talking about it today. . . . I don't believe there is any common thing except genetics, and the appendix is not programmed to give out at a certain age. I would not worry - just wonder what the universe is trying to tell you . . . I had mine out last year. Almost exactly one year prior to that (almost to the day) my mother had hers out. Neither of us ever had any problems. The doctor told me that for whatever reason, the hospital has a huge surge of cases of appendicitis around late summer (August) and Jan-February every year. In my opinion, there is something going on that is environmental (and genetics to some extent), but I have no clue what it would be. Early Feb and August don't really have any environmental factors in common. |
