It's a new "clean slate" design and I don't think they are even production models, yet. I'm glad to see they're using a diesel engine. Gas turbine may be great for dashing across European plains (the original theatre) and desert if you have exellent supply lines and maintenance facilities, but diesel is the best choice for rougher terrain and unpredictable supply/maintenance services. |

Yeah, can't expect Russians to be able to have any of that stuff. Only Americans can conduct a war with gas turbine tanks and be so successful that there were more friendly fire deaths than deaths from enemy fire ie, The 1st Gulf War. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 32733867 Here's how it looked: [link to www.businessinsider.com] I'd laugh except I was at Ft. Hood when the M-1 tank was doing trials there before full production and at the time I would never have imagined how well the thing would end up performing in battle. vodka in the engines |

Tried to kill their own President after he signed an economic deal with Russia that would have benefited ordinary Ukrainains more than the zio-nazis in the EU. 2. Organized "protests" where the Berkut police were burned alive with molotov cocktails and where the Kiev Junta used snipers against their own protesters, which they falsely blamed on Yanukovych. 3. The Odessa Massacre 4. The MH17 Shootdown, which they falsely blamed on Putin from day one before any of the evidence was even collected. 5. The ongoing unjust war of genocide against the Donbass. Meanwhile, Putin takes Crimea virtually without firing a shot in one of the most brilliant deployments of special forces in the history of warfare. I'd say the Boss deserves his own victory parade. |

LOL! They can't start that diesel engine in warm weather, how is it going to start in the arctic weather? Diesel works just fine under arctic conditions. Ever heard of arctic grades of diesel fuel and block heaters that burn fuel at a low rate? You think big rigs grind to a halt in Alaska or northern Finland every winter? Diesel engines are robust, easy to maintain, fuel-efficient and they yield oodles of low-rpm torque and power. |
