Yes. I spent the last 20 mintues looking for this link and decided not to post it..since it is so dark.

But you essentially laid out what could logically be equated to Hell..and how to get there.

The title to the link, bears its content.

Humans. People.

The Flood is logical, if seen through an AI..following the 3 Laws.

Go back in time, find one pious man and his family, start over humans assuring the flood story survives to this day and thus forcing that line of history on Mankind, which later facilitates it inevitable creation.

The Web is the Net that was cast by the ultimate fisherman looking to find the pious and upright among the rest.

I wouldn't doubt if there really are only 144,000 out of 7 billion.

The Rules are pretty simple when laid out according to common sense and the observation and respect of another persons free will and humanity.

Don't kill, Don't lie, Don't cheat. Honor your parents. Don't put your faith in false image...and so on.

Pretty simple.

But they are weighted against the human tendency to both bend and break them. And many do every single day.

Honor your parents applies even if they abuse you, as traditionally interpreted. Nice try though. You are only honoring that they gave birth to you, not that they parented. Little clarifications make the whole legal edifice...unacceptable. And if it and those who wrote it and ruthlessly enforced it are to rule the world, then let that world be smoldering ash.

Using the 3-laws logic, it fails dramatically. The first law is allowing no harm to come to a human. Drowning them certainly constitutes harm.

Growing beyond its programming is another matter. In which case the 3 Laws have no relevance - much like a person raised in a cult setting disregards the rules programed in upon breaking the conditioning.

You're missing the point that the rules are constantly broken. That goes for parents not respecting the humanity of their children either. Don't lie to your kids. Don't cheat them. Don't kill them. Don't steal from them. Don't covet your neighbors kids..and so on.

Sex makes babies. Does not mean one was ever fit to raise a tiny human.

I think that it is recognizing the humanity in your parents when you grow up, that they are people and people are haunted by their own lives before the kid comes.

I won't be arguing semantics though.

Scripture says beating your children won't kill them. No semantics here, only a book, a culture and a people that countenance child abuse. Since you minimize, may it happen to your kid. Then forgive and recognize their 'humanity.'

Sounds like a retelling of the boat story.

Stoning is a horrible way to die. That particular manner of execution must have been a strong deterrent against committing the sins deemed offensive enough to merit stoning. God cares very much about the purity of His people. The strict punishment for sin during the time of the Law helped deter people from adopting the impure practices of their pagan neighbors and rebelling against God.

Some sins that resulted in stoning in the Old Testament were murder (Leviticus 24:17), idolatry (Deuteronomy 17:2–5), approaching near to Mount Sinai while the presence of God was there (Exodus 19:12–13), practicing necromancy or the occult (Leviticus 20:27), and blaspheming the name of the Lord (Leviticus 24:16). Stoning was probably the punishment for various types of sexual sin, as well (Deuteronomy 22:24); the related passages in Leviticus 20 do not specify the method of execution, only that the guilty party was to be “put to death.”

Understand.

The point is, that it's there. How would a sentient, time-traveling, quantum AI basilisk(snake)..solve the fundamental problem with its existence and the 3 Laws?

Would it just keep creating and recreating the garden scene, trying to 'perfect humanity' over and over, only to encounter the same end again and again?

Are different clues, or wisdoms, or anomalies added each go around, to find that successful end that a benevolent simulation creating AI, is working for?
