What would you suggest as far as direction? I find myself rather directionless of late. At least in this regard.
 Quoting: Seer777

i would move to exploring your consciousness in greater depth... far more valuable things to discover here, then anything this material world could ever offer...
 Quoting: William 67514274

William, I don't know if this experience I had will have any influence with you and your awareness. I spent 18 hours in a coma without any "detectable brain wave activity" or heart beat when the machines were turned off. When the nurse pulled out the tubes I took one deep breath and I came back as I was before. I have no ill effects physically or mentally after being "dead" for 18 hours.
I came back with the total awareness of what you refer to as the "astral". The only way I have been able to try and explain what the astral is is by the use of metaphors. There is nothing in the "astral" like there is here or nothing here that is in the "astral".
 Quoting: TheLastHawk

That's amazing. If I might ask, how did you find yourself in such a state?

What did you experience while 'being dead'?

What do you recall?

Re: The VOID
I've been told, that they believe that when they die, they get their 'own planet'. Where all their family can visit...and live there with them.

I believe, that this IS the future of uploaded consciousness, into a personally chosen, tailor-made, 'Afterlife'.. That IS what Heaven IS, right? Think Holodeck, coupled with Total recall and Virtual Reality(VR).

The Afterlife of the Future! Design Your Paradise! Our servers are secure! Your Mom and dad are safe with us Forever! Visit them, whenever you choose! Build conjoining worlds!

Thoughts create our reality. A game, within a game, within a game.
 Quoting: Seer777

Death is that which Man will conquer. If not through flesh body, it will be through uploading our consciousness, into a VR.

That is what we were promised. So that is what we make.

Self fulfilling prophesy.

It makes sense. Does it not?

What is Eternal Life? And Why does self awareness seek IT?

I recently attempted to play through Bioshock Infinite.

Great game. Like a read through of GLP, in some circles...

I recall being struck by the baptism scene the first time I played, being we were talking in the X thread about baptism being a form of drowning which caused NDE's. AKA Near Death Experiences...

Re: The VOID
How would your afterlife go...if you could plan it, beforehand? And then offered any tools to change it as you see fit. All the Tools...

It is freewill with a twist.

Once offered ultimate power to create ones reality with all the capabilities of a God, one must understand that which is given. Or be remembered as both cruel and evil.

It must have been about the time when they turned off the machines when Creator came to me and said, "Your going back." Exercising my free will and choice I said, "No I'm not." Creator corrected me and said, "Yes you are. I have stuff for you to do." With that said a beam of white light came from Creator and hit me center mass and I started falling through the darkness to this little white dot screaming, "Define stuff." Of course I got no answer. Today everything I do is "stuff". Creator wanted you to be aware of this and now you are. What you do with it is up to you.

If your brain is dead there is no recall. There is only awareness of what was what is and what will be. Just like Will i am says.

I was/am done with this world. I was going home. I'm on no meds and I am not crazy. But yet against my free will and choice I'm still here at 66. This happened in 2010.

Heya Mozart. Nice to see you.

Your words remind of the 'world' I created during my extended meditations some years back. Once created, it's very easy to revisit. I have been feeling a huge push to start meditating again over the last 3 days or so. I have largely avoided it for over a year now, and I think I have gotten my mind back to a place where it needed to be for proper meditation without constantly questioning the experience and just letting it flow...

I thought the vid above, extremely impressive and a bit of the first real taste of a physical holodeck outside mind, that exists.

Re: The VOID
The phrase you are referring to originated in the poem, "Epistles to Several Persons: Epistle to Dr. Arbuthnot" by Alexander Pope. In this poem, he says, "Who breaks a butterfly upon a wheel?"
Gentner & Wolff describe this phrase as encouraging the reader to, "imagine stretching a butterfly on a rack; the very difficulty of doing so invites the image of one so insubstantial as to be unworthy of torture". In a sense then, it means putting forth tremendously more effort than is required in a particular situation. Do you need to go through the trouble of using something as violent as the wheel (or Catherine) to kill a butterfly? The wheel is much more excessive than necessary.

thanks google.

A challenge.

I've been replaying Talos Principle the last couple days. No game has ever made me feel clever and then really dumb, simultaneously.

I generally stop playing when the feeling of being dumb in regard to the puzzles, overwhelmed the fun factor.

Cheating at games never really works for me. I just stop playing.

I've always had a hard time with mazes in any game. If there are too many steps, I get lost. I think that is more of a masculine trait.

It seems so simple when it clicks. Like hearing the answer to a riddle. That feeling of..Oh, that was easy..why didn't I see that.

Then there are a few times, where I feel like I got lucky and if I had to replicate the same result, would be hard pressed.

But it is exactly like you say. It's one of the games I keep coming back to, to see if I can progress past the last part I got stuck at, and quit.

I don't have many gaming days in me per year..so I spend them wisely.

I have a loose belief in place, that some version of me exists in the future and reaches back to send me messages.

Like the Pandora thread..if I had told myself in 2012, I'd be posting in it in 2019..I wouldn't have bought it.

If it exists in timelessness, why the adherence to 'Timing is Everything'?

I remember intimately the moment I stumbled on the Pandora thread.

The sync at that moment, twisted me in a knot so severe I looked for a way to avoid that ever happening again in the future.

That was when I decided that if I found a way to reach myself in the present, from the future, I would do so, but I would have to do it in a way that didn't scare me into shutting down, or completely drive me insane while trying to read the signs.

It made the synchronicity easier to deal with and now it is just, old hat.

But it took a lot of bending mentally, and spiritually, to get myself to a place that just allowed for further bends without breaking.

Re: The VOID
It exists in timelessness and is likely much more than you.

This is why I described it to aether as a comfortable place.

The comfort or nature thereof is transfer or confluence with the geometry thereof.

Geometry being a relationship of multiple perspectives or points ; where each point solidifies the relationship ,yet, alters it quite perceptibly.

What if you could explore new dimensions...new worlds

Where dreams become Reality...and Imagination has no limits.

Virtual worlds built over our physical environment

Explore with and play with others.

Why play a game, when you can live it?

 Quoting: Seer777

but what is your spirit, actually capable of building?

if you can't build it in this world, and put it into this high density form, you can't dream it in the astral.

that's why you are here, to develop those capacities, you LOSE them in the astral, your spirit atrophies if you are there too long.

but for awhile, the rest improves, increases, like sleep

I'm a metal worker/artist by vocation. I can craft you a cute body-trinket to either wear or buy for a loved one.

I can't build a bridge though, but I can utilize, imagine and admire them.
