Energy is intense today. Dang. Would like it to ease up a bit. Mornings have been like this for the last several days..

Search my old handle on youtube. You’ll see it for sure. I can’t link it for reasons. But you definitely know the name to search ;)

This is a good place. There are A LOT of people which can be a tad overwhelming at times. But I went home on Tuesday to my moms and remembered all the reasons that I just can’t stand being here.

I’m also looking at getting a potential internship here as a wroter for their marketing department. I’m going to find out at 2 whether they want to use me or not and it’s really really nervewracking waiting for that answer. I just hope I won’t feel crushed if it’s a no.

Well I’ll probably be here awhile which I’m okay with. I don’t want to move back in with my mom so I may meet someone here whom I can live with. The good part about that is you really have a long freakin time to get to know people here.

I just hope my self esteem isnt crushed if they say no LOL

It would be a paid internship. Not too much money, but good for a start and it’s part of this treatment center so I could live here while I do it.

It’s definitely more expensive to live in California than anywhere else. And LA is worse than some other parts of the state in that respect.

So yes, I’m still here. Basically, the temple is kind of an auditorium. It’s a part of the treatment center building. They call it “the sanctuary”. A lot of people show up for the high holiday services, and they ask some residents here to speak.

I don’t know how long I’ll be here. Lots of people stay for a year. Crazy.

How is it decided when a resident leaves?

Hello

Well often people leave when they are ready. I’m not 100% sure, but I think it’s a mutual decision between a resident and their treatment team. They don’t discriminate if people can’t pay, they are generally willing to give scholarships to the program and such. So it’s not an insurance decision, which is pretty unique.

I know now that the head copywriter there liked the written copy of the speech I gave, the one you saw on my youtube. So apparently he’s going to ask me some questions about whether I’ve written professionally before or not and stuff of that nature. Obviously I haven’t written professionally and I can’t show my blog for obvious reasons. So I’m a little nervous about that.

Hope all is well, I haven't spoken to either of you for a while.

Other than the weather..things are going really well. I discovered 'hotpot' the other day and now my partner is obsessed with buying everything to make them here. We had our first last night. Went and bought more stuff today.

He just left to go see if they have the bowl with the divider at Bad, Bath and Beyond. :P

Things are going well for me. Pretty busy with work but that has gotten a bit better for me over the past year with some changes to the company structure. This was the first time in a while I had come onto GLP. I was surprised to see you both on at the same time but its great I get to say hello and see how my two favourite GLP'rs are going.

They have pre-made packets with the broth flavoring at the Asian stores here. Just add water, cut your veggies, and you can buy the pre-packaged, fish balls, shrimp balls, pork balls, and thin sliced beef and pork. He bought it all. lol.
