A bookmark? After all that work? They could at least have given you a goddamned book.
Quoting: Light of my Little Left Eye Not the point really. Point is expectation, over reality(on my part) and preparedness due expectation(on their part). I didn't need a book. It was a valid lesson, that sticks with me to this day. But what did you learn? That people suck? Lol. That expectation.. is the fastest way to find disappointment. If you set a low expectation, you’ll rarely be disappointed and occasionally be pleasantly surprised.  That being said, I don’t truly believe it myself.
