I isolated all day and I was standing on the smoker’s patio half interacting, half watching everyone laughing and talking and firing off some spinny light whirlidude into the air.

It’s weird here, it’s a real community. And people...I haven’t had so many people around me in I don’t even know how long. College didn’t count, nobody knew my name there. Here everybody knows me. And cares. And often I still want to be alone, but just as often, I’m not alone.

I don’t really relate to most of humanity. But I still find something rather remarkable about the mundane sense of affection we have for each other that we often take for granted. There is something oddly beautiful about it that I was appreciating.

In other news, I am completely proscrastinating on finishing the edits of that article I submitted. Totally.
